I tried forwarding 9000 but that wasn't accepted. However, I've now made some progress on my original ngrok registration and email. I've logged into my ngrok status page using 'http://localhost:4040/status' and it shows I've got a tunnel online with a url 'https://xxx.ngrok.io'. I entered that url in the Media Server Configuration page and got a message 'ngrok reports an authorization failure'. It's the last piece of the jigsaw and it's very frustrating. I concluded I must have cocked up somewhere along the way so I started again with a different email address and I'm pleased to say it all went OK. For the record, I didn't run the disown command to establish the full server path for skill-linking - I just ran 'ngrok http 80' to get it. It reported 2 addresses: one http the other https. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] 'MediaServer' *certified* Alexa skill for LMS
I'm using LMS on a Mac and struggling to set this up. I've followed the instructions on the help page: 1. Set up a free account with ngrok and downloaded it. 2. Connected my account using the authtoken. 3. Moved ngrok to local/usr/bin 4. Ran command (with my user credentials): ngrok http -auth "user:password" 9000 > /dev/null 2>&1 & 5. Ran command: disown; curl -s http://localhost:4040/api/tunnels | grep -Po https://.+?\.io and got: 'disown: no current job zsh: no matches found: https://.+?.io (23) Failed writing body' My ngrok dashboard shows there are 2 Tunnels online both showing region as 'us' but actually I'm in the UK. Same addresses - one is http the other is https. I ran command: ngrok http 80 and got: 'Your account 'x' is limited to 1 simultaneous ngrok client session. Active ngrok client sessions in region 'us': - [authtoken] (xx.xxx.xxx.xxx)' (I've replaced the returned output). I'm on macOS HighSierra 10.13 with LMS 7.9.1 (LogitechMediaServer-7.9.1-1508904967). Playing Squeezelite on Safari web interface, I can play Something Different but not the Lossless stream. Why don't you save the mood list to a playlist? Give it the name of whatever mood you've saved. If you save it using the official Spotify app in LMS, it'll appear as one of your LMS playlists. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin
Hi Michael One of the Smart Mix options is 'Your favorite artists'. Clicking on it in the LMS web interface reveals a play or add option with a URL: smartmix://_top_artists. How does this work? When I press play, a smart mix is created always starting with one of the artists in my library. How does it choose which artist to start with? Can I specify my favorite artists somewhere or does it pick it up from my listening history? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Gen2 Ipod Touch as Squeezebox player
Hi Pippin I installed iPeng 2.0.10 on my 2nd gen iPod Touch (4.2.1) in February 2013 but had to do a factory restore recently. I'm trying to reinstall iPeng (now 2.0.17) but I get the message: 'The app iPeng was not installed on the iPod because it requires a newer version of iPod software.' This was the message I used to get before you released iPeng 2.0.10. I've tried restoring an old iPod Touch backup from February 2013 but I get the message: 'iPeng was not installed on the iPod because it requires a newer version of iPod software.' Any ideas what I can do? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Gen2 Ipod Touch as Squeezebox player
pippin wrote: I'm a bit confused. If you did run 2.0.10 this means you should have iOS 4.2.1 on your iPod and with that iOS Version you should still be able to download iPeng directly from the App Store. You'd get version 2.0.16 which is the latest one supporting iOS 4 The restore probably doesn't work because you probably updated iPeng to version 2.0.17 on another device and did. Backup of that, too. Unless you manually keep a separate backup iTunes only keeps backups of the latest version of an App so you can't install that one on the iTouch using iTunes. Searching for iPeng in the iTunes store only produces 2.0.17 per the screenshot below. How can i download 2.0.16? 16125 Cheers Chris +---+ |Filename: Screen Shot 2014-06-30 at 18.34.56.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=16125| +---+ 2 Booms, 2 Classics, 2 Radios, 2 02 Jogglers, 1 Squeezebox 2 frozzers's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=29624 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98150 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi Michael - I'm using v1.3.9. Here's what happens with Spotify (I'm a Spotify premium subscriber). If I select the Spotify app in the LMS webpage left home screen, search for an artist, select an album and select one track to play from the album, the track plays OK. Just after it starts playing, Smart Mix then populates the right hand window with four additional songs. These always start with one of the ARRAY tracks mentioned earlier. I'm assuming the other three are then based on that ARRAY track. None of them are connected to the original search artist. Just to add, I'm also a Deezer subscriber and the above happens with that app too. Hope that helps. Chris frozzers's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=29624 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97668 Hi Michael This is really odd, but today, following the process mentioned above, Smart Mix has worked fine with Spotify but still doesn't work for Deezer. ARRAY comes in again with the other tracks based on ARRAY. I don't know if this will help you but something similar happens when I try and edit one of the standard TEN recipes for example like this: 1. Select 'Smooth'. 2. In TEN tab, select 'Artist' and enter e.g. Oscar Peterson ('Type' box automatically changes to 'artist-radio'). 3. Delete 'calming' in 'Mood' box. 4. New mix (correctly based on Oscar Peterson) appears in lower window. 5. Recipe box now shows: { artist: [ Oscar Peterson ], type: artist-radio, max_tempo: 80, max_energy: 0.4, bucket: [ id:deezer, id:spotify-WW, tracks, id:my TEN ID ] } 6. Select 'Play this mix'. 7. 'Information' window appears: Information { msg: Starting mix on SqueezePlay, args: { artist: [ Oscar Peterson ], max_energy: 0.4, type: artist-radio, max_tempo: 80 }, error: 0 } The first track in the mix plays OK but ARRAY and its associated tracks are added and the mix is lost. Incidentally, I always get the 'Information' window 'error' message whenever I try to edit then play or save one of the Smart Mix standard recipes. Is that normal? markcaines wrote: Hi, Fantastic plug-in - I have been using it a lot. However, in the last few days it seems to be working far less well. I have a few recipes set up with the Blender, but they no longer play songs that correspond to the recipes. A few songs that I don't expect / want to be in the play list keep showing up (sources are Spotify and my library - the unwanted songs are coming from Spotify). Similarly if I define a mix in the Blender, although the list of songs shown in the Blender looks good, that list does not get properly transposed to my LMS playlist. For example, suppose I build a mix based on David Bowie. The list of songs in the Blender looks fine, and maybe the first 2-3 songs in LMS match. However, at song 3 or 4 in LMS I almost always have Hexigazmel Sandwiches by Robyn Steward ARRAY and then other stuff following that that I don't want. I could have chosen a mix based on pretty much any artist with the default settings, but I always get the strange shaped sandwiches at track 3 or 4. As I say, this has only just started happening. I am on a Mac and have recently upgraded to Mavericks, but I can't link this strange behaviour directly to that upgrade. One final bit of strangeness. If Smart Mix manages to start a mix based on the current song, then usually that works as expected. That would be enough for me most of the time - except that Smart Mix doesn't very often manage to do this. I usually get the message Failed to create playlist for XYZ. In the log, I get a message saying The Identifier specified does not exit. Any help gratefully received... Mark Michael I have exactly the same problem as Mark, although sometimes I get Space Cadet by Robyn Steward ARRAY. I'm also on a Mac with Mavericks using Safari. I see at post 945 you said from Mark's log you could see it was as a result of an array reference being sent instead of the artist name. Also, at post 961, you said, reading from another log: 'Yeah, fwict the smartmix related output is ok. There seem to be some network related issues though (totally unrelated to the plugin): eg. it's trying to get a podcast or rss feed and fails to reach that host.' Was this ever resolved? I can send you my server.log but I won't if there was a generic solution. Many thanks for a great plugin. pippin wrote: Which device is this? iOS 7 is slow and it sometime reacts slowly. It also has issues with some buttons that are hard to hit or don't show that they've been hit. Almost all Apps I'm using show more or less frequent crashes. I would not have thought it's ready for the prime time in the current state. It's about as bad as iOS 5 was when it came out so expect things to get better over the time although I'm not entirely sure about the speed thing. Although it's design is flat, there's a lot of additional stuff going on in the background that hasn't been there in iOS 6 so processing will probably never get as fluent on old devices as with the old OS. Here's a good example although it's probably a bit extreme and doesn't even fully affect iPeng yet, since it's still compiled against the iOS 6 runtime. http://iosdevweekly.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2bab0c5254f02a208c8f176f0id=1ce16339dfe=3a7a8cda93 Plus, as I experienced in Wikilator, you then have to work around these things which adds even more code Didn't really matter in little Wikilator since that App really doesn't do a lot but if you have more extensive processing, it gets worse. And yes, you can go back. We've got 3 iPhones, an iPad 2 and an iPad Mini. All upgraded to iOS 7 with no issues except my wife's iPhone 4 where there was about a 5 second lag for each key press making typing impossible. A Google search suggested to reset settings: Settings = General = Reset All Settings. Works perfectly now. Might be worth a try ...
