Kept meaning to start a thread on it, but amazed no one else has commented on this behaviour till now. I even find the repeat will interfere with the sleep too. If you are using listen again and then (on a boom) set the sleep timer to be the end of song, it will get to the end, start going to sleep then wake up and play again. I am using a boom and the latest 7.5 squeezeboxserver on ubuntu 10.04 LTS. The behaviour is particularly annoying if you have lined up two programs to listen to (i.e. using '+' to add in the second program), as you have to do a skip to get to the second program once the first program has finished and started playing again. I am running iplayer with the 'prefer wma over aac' option, not sure if this makes a difference. [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBC iPlayer plugin - problems with some live streams
I noticed last weekend that the live stream of BBC Radio 5 live was breaking up badly from time to time (giving a kind of echoing stutter effect.) I didn't have time to investigate but today the problem is still there, as well as on Radio 5 Sports Extra and Radio 6. Radios 1-4 and 7 live streams are fine, as are all programs on demand. The problem is reproducable on two SB3s and a Boom in different parts of the house. I had the same thing last weekend (and before that) on Radio 5 Live - haven't listened today yet. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBC iPlayer plugin - problems with some live streams
Well its hard to be sure - if you find it some some streams and not others, then I would tend to blame the bbc end. If the stream does not start at all, then enabling plugin.bbciplayer.parser and plugin.bbciplayer.rtmp logging would be useful to see. For breakup during the stream - with flash aac streams using non squeezeplay players, then the stream is processed by the server as well as the player, so the problem could be the server running slow as well as the network or bbc. However unless you have a slow server I would tend to suspect things outside our control. Logging of the above set to debug would show if there are big gaps in fetching the audio data, but unless you can recreate the problem at will I am not sure this is worth chasing as you will get lots of data and need to correlate it to the point of the dropout.. -- Triode Triode's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=75212 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] BBC iPlayer plugin problems
I've just updated to Squeezebox Server 7.4.1 r28947 but am now having problems with the BBC iPlayer plugin. n.b. I'm running Squeezebox Server on SlimNAS 2.0.1, on FreeNAS 0.7.1 (r4997) It appears on my Controller and WebGUI menus, and I can navigate through stations down to programmes, but when I select something the stream just doesn't play. BBC iPlayer (v1.0.1) shows as enabled on the Active plugins page on the SBServer WebGUI. However, it doesn't appear in the \slimnas\squeezebox\Plugins directory (where I'd expect it to be), but it does appear in \slimnas\var\squeezebox\Cache\InstalledPlugins\Plugins I've tried deactivating it and 'reinstalling' it via the Plugins page on the SBServer WebGUI, but that didn't fix it. Any ideas, suggestions, or the pointing out of something blindingly obvious that I've missed :-) welcome. The Cant open file for message means your SBS server cannot transcode a particular audio format. The default audio format used by BBCiPlayer is AAC which means you need to have the faad executable working on your system. It looks like a version has not been installed on your systems.
