Hi Erland, Thanks for your reply. OK - found the debug flag and it did generate the TrackStat log messages. But - you were right - the urls of the files in the backup file had an old path to my music library in it (two different old paths, actually). So, I edited the backup file and replaced the old paths with the current one, restored and everything came back fine. Thanks very much for your help. Also, these are great plugins (the songs not rated not recently played dynamic playlist is my default usage of the slimserver right now). Hi, I have exactly the same problem (can't restore ratings from the backup file) but this doesnt seem to fix it for me. I have specified the backup file as J:\music\trackstat_scheduled_backup_20070518.xml and that directory and file are readable by the user running slimserver. When I do a restore, slimserver seems to do something (uses a lot of cpu for a while) but when its finishes and I browse the stats from the GUI, there's no change. How can I enable debugging for Trackstat? I can't see any debug flag for trackstat in the GUI? You should see some messages starting with TrackStat: in the log when you do something with TrackStat after the log has been enabled. If it uses CPU, it feels like it reads the file. Is the music files stored in the same place (drive letter + path) as before ? The Backup Dir parameter is only used when doing backups, so you need to specify an exact file in Backup file if you like to restore data. 2. I put the complete path into the backup file parameter, and it is importing now. Thanks for the help, and also thanks for the plugins. I've been using them for 6-7 months now.
