Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
I have a question concerning a minor issue: When using Material on my phone running Android 10, I have noticed that on some dispays, such as "New Music" that I get a column of dots instead of numbers and letters that I can use to navigate the display more quickly. When this navigation column is rendered only as dots from top to bottom, it is useless and just takes up screen space. When this is the case, would it be possible to not display it? I note that this behavior occurs in most but not all browsers I have tested: Chrome, Vivaldi, Opera, Kiwi, Duckduckgo, but surprisingly in Fully-Kiosk this column is drawn correctly: it is only drawn when it is going to be useful. Strange - is this something that is purely under the control of the browser, or could Material control it's appearance? *Living Room:* SB Touch + DIY PSU > CI Audio VDA.2 DAC + VAC.1 PSU > VRX.1 cables > Emotiva XSP-1 Gen 2 preamp + XPA-DR2 amp > Blue Jeans cables > B 804 speakers *Laptop:* System76 Galago + Ubuntu 16.04 + Squeezelite/gmrender + Material Skin > Emotiva Little Ego DAC > Senn HD 650 headphones *Phone:* Pixel 3a Phone + BubbleUPnP + Kiwi/Material > Bluetooth > Bose SoundLink Revolve *Server:* Puget Systems Serenity + Ubuntu 18.04 + LMS 8.0 *Music:* Personal FLAC, Radio Paradise FLAC, Qobuz, Spotify Ron F.'s Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5616 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Sync algorithm are touchy things, especially as it would require modifying some of LMS's internals. I don't know if the best would be to create a "fake" player (like I did for my Groups plugin) and make it the master or a group or just let Shairtunes guide the modified sync directly, options would have to be explored so yes there is a fair bit of try and error involved. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver
BoomX2, I just happened to visit the BETA forum and found some interesting information. Some users were having problems with Tidal, and some other addons, with the newer versions of LMS8; the same nightlies that have been causing me problems. Michael Herger suggested that they check the box for "Insecure HTTPS" in Settings/Advanced/Security and it cured their problems. I tried it with the latest LMS8 nightly and no longer show the "?" and all of my other display items are back! I will continue to use the latest LMS8 nightlies until something else happens to make LMS8 unworkable. Testing is in progress... I guess I have to ask - why would a large buffer size matter? At some point I was investigating an issue which sounded similar as yours. Sorry, I missed your answer to my question before making my last post about Qobuz ... so, then this issue could occur with any streaming service plugin? Not sure, tbh. But the message you posted previousl point into a totally differen direction anyway. Something about XML parsing failure. OK, now something that at first looks similar happened while streaming from Qobuz to a player on my laptop, gmediarender, I came to the end of a track, and the track time remaining began flashing "-00:00" as I have seen happen with Spotty. LMS began giving the following error message repeatedly: [22:06:56.051327] XMLGetFirstDocumentItem:182 (BUG) ixmlNode_getFirstChild(tmpNode) returned NULL [22:07:00.984111] XMLGetFirstDocumentItem:182 (BUG) ixmlNode_getFirstChild(tmpNode) returned NULL [22:07:06.024427] XMLGetFirstDocumentItem:182 (BUG) ixmlNode_getFirstChild(tmpNode) returned NULL As soon as I hit the "Next track" button, it proceeded onward like nothing had happened.
