[PEDA] Goupwise can't handle digest any way to get individual posts.

2002-09-05 Thread Paul Gaastra

Sorry for posting here but I can't make any headway in sorting out my
Protel user group problems on the Techserve website.

My mail program is Groupwise. Whenever there is a big proteleda users
digest it gets truncated.

Can anyone tell me if you can change to individual mails and the exact
way to do it? Thanks

[PEDA] Checking if Protel 2002-07-29 Digest intact.

2002-07-30 Thread Paul Gaastra

Does anyone know if the Protel 2002-07-29 Digest was intact. I only
received one email in the attachments. I was looking forward to reading
all the comments about the new DXP.

Maybe one of you antipodean or insomniac readers could tell me by a
personal email whether it was sent properly because we have just moved
over to Groupwise as our email program and I suspect that's the
problem.

Thanks

[PEDA] PPC missing Component Pads on bottom layer

2002-07-17 Thread Paul Gaastra

Sorry I have to relearn Protel 99 every time I use it.

I'm trying to get a power printout and I can't get the pads of
components to show up on the bottom layer. The free pads like vias and
those pads that I put in as pads show up. The pads in the components
I'm using are multilayer. I've set all the things in MultilayerLayer
PropertiesComponent primitves to Full and I've done the rebuild.
What else is there left to try?

[PEDA] Simple: How duplicate part of PCB?

2001-10-29 Thread Paul Gaastra

Sorry, I'm sure I've done this before
Using Design Explorer 99 SE
My schematic has two bits with identical design.

I've routed one part of the PCB and have copied it to another part of
the board and managed to get the copied parts renamed to
correspond to the schmatic. How do I get the tracks to connect?
They all have no net. The rats nest is still there as well as the
tracks.

P.S. How do you read the daily digest? My pegasus mail has a
list of subjects and senders and an attachment with all the
messages in them. I can't see which message corresponds to the
subject in the text bit.

[PEDA] Invisible Components On PCB

2001-07-17 Thread Paul Gaastra

Hello. I'm running Design Explorer 99 Spack 6.

I don't make many boards. It seems that every time I create a new
PCB from a schematic one component gets placed with the text
information way away from the footprint. The text information is not
visible. I know it's there because when I do a zoom all the pcb is
much smaller than it should be and the size is determined by
where the invisible text is placed.

In the past I have overcome this by selecting inside an area and
selecting everything I can see. Then what's left unselected is the
offending component.

Now I have a board where this doesn't work. I know there must be
something out there because when I do a Zoom All I get an area
much bigger than the PCB. When I do a report on the board stats I
also get a much bigger board than I can see.

Can anyone tell me how to resolve this problem? Will it get made
into a PCB if I get it manufactured?
