Hi Jorge, What is your motivation for storing mesh data in PG? If you want to have fast access to large central datasets, PG is probably not a good storage option. Best to investigate Zarr (https://zarr.dev/) which is a cloud optimised format for large multidimensional datasets. We need to first implement it in MDAL for QGIS to be able to load the data effectively. Another option to serve large NetCDF/GRIB data is to set up an EDR ( https://ogcapi.ogc.org/edr/overview.html) service which we are adding support for it in QGIS. Hi Christian, It is logical not to be able to copy and paste style if the mesh datasets are not the same. It is consistent with the other parts of QGIS, for example, you can not copy and paste style from a point layer to a line layer. My suggestion is to save the color ramp from hydro_as-2d (2nd layer in your layer tree) > Submersion and apply it to hydro_as-2d (1st layer in your layer tree) > Submersion. It might be useful to file an enhancement ticket, so that if a mesh dataset name matches, the style can be used for that specific dataset. Also, worth upgrading to more recent versions of QGIS. If you want to have a collaborative platform where multiple users can edit the same data, you can consider https://merginmaps.com/ Each user can edit the data and when they sync the changes from QGIS, the platform consolidate the changes from multiple sources. It can work fully offline as well. Not directly answering your question, but https://inputapp.io is based on QGIS and you can transfer your whole project with associated data to your Android or iOS device. The app works fully offline and you can still collect data. When you have data connectivity, you can sync your changes. Hi Kirk, Indeed, converting to vector and styling it using rule-based styling is an option. Having contour renderer for raster will avoid extra processing and data conversion. With contour rendering of raster, you can also use "Resampling" for creating smooth contours on the fly. @Azzura, unfortunately, labelling is not available at the moment for raster contour renderer. We may add it in future releases. Hi Raffaele, One way to do it is having a proper central geo-database (e.g. PostGIS). But if you are working with file-based layers (e.g. Geopackages), you can use the Mergin service (http://public.cloudmergin.com/). 1- You and your colleagues can register with the service 2- Upload your project and data 3- Share it with your colleagues (Read access only in your case) There is a plugin for QGIS to handle downloading, uploading and syncing of the data (https://help.cloudmergin.com/working-with-qgis-plugin). QGIS supports ESRI TIN format ( https://github.com/lutraconsulting/MDAL/issues/162) and some other HDF based mesh data (https://github.com/lutraconsulting/MDAL#supported-formats). If your data is supported by MDAL, you can then load them directly in QGIS and use Mesh Calculator (which is also available in the Processing Toolbox). Hope that helps. Unfortunately, there seems to be an issue with the conversion. I have tried
it with https://github.com/wonder-sk/mapbox2qgis which is the basis for the
Maptiler plugin and our first attempt while adding the native support for
vector tile.
To solve your issue and in general a better way of handling the style
to/from Mapbox, I suggest to resolve this ticket:

Hi Larissa, hmmm, the SRTM is not going to give a proper indication of elevation when used in conjunction with buildings. The SRTM is very coarse dataset and it will probably be flat for your extent. Have you considered having seperate sections for 3d data visualisations, each with its own dataset. One section could be vectors (there is quite a bit to cover there: points as 3d models, 3d lines and buildings), rasters (to cover terrain and probably mesh) and another for creating animations and fly-overs. Also, the dataset is very large. It would be easier if you crop the data to a smaller area. Hi, If you want to see your TIN as raw data, without interpolation and conversion to gridded format, best to have it supported as a "mesh layer": https://docs.qgis.org/3.4/en/docs/user_manual/working_with_mesh/mesh_properties.html To add support for it, you need to have it in MDAL: https://github.com/lutraconsulting/MDAL/ There are processing tools to convert it to regular vector or raster (at user-defined resolution), but you should be able to work with the native nodes/edges/surfaces directly from QGIS. AnuGA results are now fully supported in QGIS 3.5 mesh layer. You can load the SWW file directly. In addition, you can look into HEC RAS, the 2-dimensional results can again be loaded directly as a mesh layer in QGIS. There is also RiverGIS plugin which helps you build your model. It's been said a lot and often gets dismissed by users (similar to have you turn off and on your computer), but most of the issues can be resolved by: 1- Start your QGIS 3, with a clean profile. 2- Remove/disable all 3rd party plugins If all fails, report the bug with a sample data and step-by-step to reproduce the issue. I am having the same problem on other platforms too. It cab be related to: 1- Network drive 2- Several layers and lots of nested folder: it tries to scan all the files (esp. zip files) which slows down things significantly. I agree with Bernhard. Last time, it was done through QEP and no real feedback from users. The change to the node tool behaviour requires input from experienced users who do digitizing in their day-to-day works. I suggest to have the draft proposal as a blog post on QGIS.org to get more users involved in the way forward. Currently, there are some bugs and several contradicting preferences and requests. Any new changes to the current behaviour without consulting with users will probably take us back to square one. [Qgis-user] Mac OS packages ...again!
Dear all, We managed finally to set up an integrated infrastructure to automatically create the following packages for QGIS: https://lutraconsulting.github.io/qgis-mac-packager/ 1- QGIS current release (3.4.1): you will get the new packages (e.g. 3.4.2) on the same day as point release 2- QGIS nightly: generates a new package every day from the master branch with all the latest features (and bugs!). This is not currently available from the official QGIS download page. The packages are all signed and you don't need to circumvent any security to be able to install them. Everything should work for 10.13 and 10.14 but with older versions of Mac OS, you may have some issues with Python and plugins (see: https://github.com/lutraconsulting/qgis-mac-packager/issues). We will appreciate if you test and report back any problem. Hi All, We have done the Mac OS packages for LTR (3.4.1), PR(=LTR for the time being) and Nigtly: https://lutraconsulting.github.io/qgis-mac-packager/ It comes with all the dependencies including GDAL extras, SAGA and GRASS. It is also a signed package, so you don't need to add security exception. Having nightly will be a very good move, IMO. Because, Mac users usually don't get a chance to test the software until after it is released. This will allow us to identify the Mac related bugs in advance and fix them before release. Please test and file bug if required. As far as I remember, there was not a specific feature to allow that. For the editing Z and M, user has to use the node tool to add the value. I agree, digitizing and snapping to 3D features are not straightforward, specially when you do it in a 2D plane. Hi Morten, This is probably by chance that the line works! Have you tried to move the point using the node tool? Hi Emanuele, list, The reason why you won't be able to see your data in 3D map, is because your data are not 3d! For Emanuele problem: - Buildings are not 3d polygons. You can use extrusion and height settings (if they are available from the attribute table) to fake the 3d buildings. - Points were not 3d points either. There is an attribute containing Z value. You can run "Set Z value" function to generate the 3d points using the Z column. Once you have done those adjustments, you can create the 3D map. Hope that helps other. But as Andreas mentioned, 3D is new and we are aiming to add more features. Please also help with documentation so others can use the features.
