[qmailtoaster] qmail mailing list problem

2009-04-16 Thread Kerem Ok
Hi everybody,

We have an interesting problem that we could not solve.

We have increased user mailbox quotas from 30 MB to 100 MB 1 year ago with a
script. After we increased the quota, users must do a change at their
accounts in order to use their new quotas.(Ex: changing password) The users
that did't make changes at their accounts, couldn't get e-mails after 30 MB
although their quotas' are 100 MB.

It didn't cause us any problems until now. But now there arrived a problem.
The users who didn't make any changes to their accounts(I mean who can't get
emails after 30 MB) and have used their full quota(30MB) and who forwarded
their e-mail accounts to the third party e-mail
accounts(Ex:gmail,hotmail...), get emails multiple times(like 20 or 30
times) *that comes through mailing lists*. They can't get e-mails if we send
directly to that e-mail account because their quotas are full, which is
true.

Do you think is there a way to solve this problem.

Thanks for your help.
I'm attaching the script that we used to increase user quotas.

[qmailtoaster] Two vulnerabilities (one DoS and one possible code execution vulnerability) in current toaster ClamAV (0.95.0)

2009-04-16 Thread David Sánchez Martín

Please upgrade Clamav to version 0.95.1 since there are two possibly
dangerous vulnerabilities in 0.95.0:

A denial of service (DoS):

Bugzilla Bug 1552
UPack crash with malformed file
https://wwws.clamav.net/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1552

Another denial of service with a serious possibility of remote code
execution:

Bugzilla Bug 1553
cli_url_canon: stack smashing
https://wwws.clamav.net/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1553

Both problems appear to be solved in 0.95.1

Thank you in advance!

[qmailtoaster] clamav-toaster-0.95.1-1.3.27 released

2009-04-16 Thread Jake Vickers
clamav 0.95.1 has been placed on the main site. Please let me know if
you have any issues with the package. It has not been thoroughly tested
due to time constraints, so it is not included in the current.txt file
at this time. This means that qtp-newmodel, qtp-ami-up2date,
current-download, and other similar scripts will not recognize the new
package or download it. You must download an install the package
manually at this time.

Thanks.

Hi all,
After I manually download clamav-toaster-0.95.1-1.3.27.src.rpm what are
the proper procedures, list of commands, for installing the source rpm?
Do I need to stop qmail prior to installing the binary rpm, etc. If
these questions are answered somewhere and I am not seeing them, please
point me in the correct direction.

Thanks much,
Dave

You can find the commands in the install script
(cnt50-install-script.sh) you used during installing the qmailtoaster.

For fedora_10: rpmbuild --rebuild --with fedora_10 'new src.rpm file'
and rpm -Uvh /root/rpmbuild/RPMS/i386/'new rpm file'

No need for stopping qmail, but I always use: |/var/qmail/bin/simscanmk;
/var/qmail/bin/simscanmk -g;||qmailctl cdb

Good luck!

2009-04-16 Thread Dave Hallowell

Hello,
Thanks for the reply. I built the new rpm file from the newly
downloaded source rpm. It built without errors. I then installed the
new rpm. When I ran /var/qmail/bin/simscanmk;
/var/qmail/bin/simscanmk -g;qmailctl cdb
I noticed this: LibClamAV Error: cl_cvdhead: Can't open file
/usr/share/clamav/daily.cvd
Obviously it cannot find the daily.cvd file.
Now I am getting qmail-smtpd: qq soft reject (mail server temporarily

Any suggestions?

[qmailtoaster] SMTP Reject mail random

2009-04-16 Thread Del Rosso Massimo
Hi to all,

It' s one day and one night we are working o a server that seem to reject
mail random.

In detail we are an ISP and we notice that some mail of customer are not
delivered to Maildir.

The problem is that if the message reach the queue all will gone but a lot
of good mail do not.

We stop simscan and with it calm and SA.

We delete the rule of badmailto and badmailfrom.

We have only rbl and chkuser.

Any Idea ?

Re: [qmailtoaster] clamav-toaster-0.95.1-1.3.27 released

2009-04-16 Thread Richard Vinke

Run sa-update.

I had this a few months ago (while installing the toaster). I had to
delete the *.cld files in |/usr/share/clamav/ and run sa-update.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply. I built the new rpm file from the newly
downloaded source rpm. It built without errors. I then installed the
new rpm. When I ran |/var/qmail/bin/simscanmk;
/var/qmail/bin/simscanmk -g;||qmailctl cdb
I noticed this: LibClamAV Error: cl_cvdhead: Can't open file
/usr/share/clamav/daily.cvd

Obviously it cannot find the daily.cvd file.
Now I am getting qmail-smtpd: qq soft reject (mail server temporarily
rejec 2009-04-16 13:05:37.860298500 tcpserver: status: 1/200

ted message (#4.3.0)): in my smtp log file.
Any suggestions?

You can find the commands in the install script
(cnt50-install-script.sh) you used during installing the qmailtoaster.

For fedora_10: rpmbuild --rebuild --with fedora_10 'new src.rpm
file' and rpm -Uvh /root/rpmbuild/RPMS/i386/'new rpm file'

No need for stopping qmail, but I always use:
|/var/qmail/bin/simscanmk; /var/qmail/bin/simscanmk -g;||qmailctl cdb

Good luck!

Hi all,
After I manually download clamav-toaster-0.95.1-1.3.27.src.rpm what
are the proper procedures, list of commands, for installing the
source rpm? Do I need to stop qmail prior to installing the binary
rpm, etc. If these questions are answered somewhere and I am not
seeing them, please point me in the correct direction.

Thanks much,
Dave

clamav 0.95.1 has been placed on the main site. Please let me know
if you have any issues with the package. It has not been thoroughly
tested due to time constraints, so it is not included in the
current.txt file at this time. This means that qtp-newmodel,
qtp-ami-up2date, current-download, and other similar scripts will
not recognize the new package or download it. You must download an
install the package manually at this time.

Thanks.

Has anyone seen similar things to this?

Yes. It was on the list just a day or 2 ago.
# yum -y update qmailtoaster-plus

Thanks Eric, I must have missed that one.

Hmmm, still looking into it (tomorrow), but the issue persisted after
that...

Going to look in the archives.
