Re: [qmailtoaster] spamhaus issue

2023-05-12 Thread Remo Matei
ok simple steps to replicate this:

go to toaster, download, run scripts, install all dependency and install
spamdyke.  The spamdyke sample file in the documentation

/spamdyke-5.0.1/documentation/spamdyke.conf.basic
has this line:

# Check a couple DNS RBLs.
dns-blacklist-entry=zen.spamhaus.org
dns-blacklist-entry=b.barracudacentral.org
and by default zen.spamhaus.org is enable, therefore, it' simple to see the
issue, maybe I am seeing it in diff way but there is nothing extra special
config etc, or miss config stuff.

I have problems understanding the general scenario.

When spamhaus is correctly configured, it filters emails arriving to
local smtpd, not emails outgoing from local qmail-send.

So, if outgoing emails are rejected by external systems it NOT should be
related to input filtering, unless there is a crazy configuration.

Re: [qmailtoaster] spamhaus issue

2023-05-11 Thread Eric Broch
So, you are sending email from your qmail host, to who?, and they (the remote
host) are reporting that your email is rejected by spamhaus...right?

What does this have to do with your enabling spamhaus? Am I missing something?

They are on the same network behind the firewall so no need to route out.

Any suggestions are welcome so I can see how to get that fixed.
