I'm 28 years post white-water rafting accident. LOL If I'm alone in chat I minimize the windows so just the name of anyone in the room is showing, so if you ever see my name, stick around because I look at the window for any changes. I don't think anyone was there between 1-2 CST yesterday, though. Hi All, "The Sea Inside" is the name of the new movie about the right to die for a quadriplegic man. Although in the movie review they say he is a paraplegic. That makes me CRAZY when "they" use the term paraplegic when "they" really mean quadriplegic. "They" always did that referring to Reeve. Any way, I for one am planing on seeing it. [QUAD-L] Home Alone - Thanks Guys
Hi Everyone, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the messages you all left me, and the encouragement you all gave me. I was in serious need of it, and although your all so far away from me it felt like you was all so close to me - so thank you from the bottom of my heart for that! The evening itself was tough going, real tough. Not so much physically - that was just challenging and drainning, but mentally it seem to have more of an effect. To be honest with you all when I was writing the email I had just tried getting some food in and I couldn't do it - not for the want of trying. But the frustration from the consequences of my accident got the better of me which was when I turned to you all - in tears pouring my heart out. I got a few replies in the first 5 minutes of sending my email which, those poor people really did get the full brunt of it! Anyway I feed the animals, put some washing in the washing machine to try to take my mind of things, didn't work! lol I didn't sleep a great deal during the night - woke up at every little noise I heard and then the dog kept barking soe some strange reason. Mum and Neil (my stepdad) came home early on Saturday so I went and met them in a nearby town at 12:30pm - just in time for lunch! One thing I have learnt from the experience is that I've got a long way to go before I'm fully independant which has scared me a bit. I thought I could do pretty much anything after 2yrs 9months. how wrong was I?! Love Smurf xxx

Greg Hi Greg, How are you? Thanks for the website!! I'm fully independant when it comes to transfering, getting in and out of bed etc so that wasn't a problem. As for the pub it's not really safe for me to go to the pub on my own in my area - we have the highest crime rate in Sittingbourne and in the top 5 places in Kent! It's dodgy going out alone in broad daylight as it doesn't stop the attacks and armed roberies! I stuck around in doors and played on my playstation2 until my eyes couldn't stay open any longer!
