I really enjoyed reading about Rupert, Survivor Pirate and my
personal favorite. The game will never be as good as it was when
Rupert was on.

The one i'm in now is an Invacare Arrow ... I set much better in this chair and does fairly good on grass as long as it is not wet.

I got a TDX 3 a few years ago. I would think it would pay for the TDX 5. Not sure if this has brushless gearless motors tho. Whatever you get make sure it takes the big batteries. These 24 nf's are the size above a barbi car. Besides, bigger batteries stabilize your chair by lowering your center of gravity.

Re: [QUAD-L] Invacare tdx wheelchairs

What a great time for me to reenter the list. I have had my new TDX 5 with accompanying new Peachtree sitting at my house for approximately two months now. It is a long story so I won't go into it, too much. It is not set up for me add. The vendor is absolutely nonexistent here in the Tampa region and I cannot get them to adjust the chair so that I can sit in the chair properly. I'm going through the VA, so this complicates the situation even more. I did, however, take the chair out yesterday and gave it a fairly thorough test, given the constraints I am under right now. Some of the difficulties I ran into were idiosyncratic of the Peachtree, but I had a hell of the time getting into my van. The wheels did not want to navigate well on the carpet at all and at times it felt like my chair was ready to flip over backwards. I know this isn't really possible, but my brother did say that the front wheels were off the ground. Exiting the vehicle was a no go for
me. My difficulties are probably not what others would experience. I am extremely tall, six-foot three, and the van that I currently have requires me to lean back just to get in in my present wheelchair. The TDX 5 is about an inch and a half taller and therefore I am forced me to lean back even more. Although I have tested the chair out previously, I was dissatisfied with the performance yesterday and am seriously considering taking the individual at the VA, who is helping me out (at least what little he can do without a vendor) up on his offer to start the process over again with a different company. I wish I could give constructive criticism for people that are not using Peachtree's, but that is the way it is. Yours, Billy (from Tampa) PS I apologize if there are any errors in this e-mail, however, since I'm using voice-activated software there are occasional errors which I don't always catch in my quick perusal
of this correspondence. I ask for your indulgence. "It is not the length of life, but the depth of life." You can't just glide side to side. You jerk left, then jerk right. Greg I have a tdx 5. I love this chair. handles great, gearlessbrushless motors are so smooth and the truetrack keep it going straight.
