I'm trying to find some really good phone / tablet games, a C5 can play. I know
not all C5s are equal and we all like different types of games, but just
looking for ones I haven't tried yet.

I play with a stylus strapped between my fingers, 1 hand. I can't reach good
enough to use 2 hands at once.

I like games you can play others on-line, but there are great games you don't.
Below are my favorite, * are on-line 2 player games.

*8 Ball Pool
*Soccer Stars
*BasketBall Stars
*WGT World Golf Tour Mobile Game

Hill Clim Racer
Saduko
Solitaire Free Pack, over 100 versions
Flick Golf free
Monument Valley
Nintail
Super Stickman Golf

Wow Greg,

I don't post much, but after reading your post i felt like I was ready my own
story. I too am addicted to the sun. I'm in VA and hating the weather right
now. During the winter i sit in front of a heater fan all day and night. When
spring and summer arrives, I'm on the deck all day soaking it in. It's like a
drug being absorbed trough our skin. :-). I bet AZ is heaven right now.

I don't know how you cold wether guys can do it every day.
I was from Seattle and that was bad enough. Now I'm spoiled in AZ.
Even our cold times it's usually sunny. But, now and then we get a few rainy
days.
I get so tight, sore, and cold, on those days and my arms tingle 100x worse.
I'm wrapped up and no matter how warm I get, I just can not relax unless I get
sun.
I think I'm physically and mentally addicted to the sun.
During the day, on the times I'm not outside, I have a hard time doing anything
for too long without having to go out and sit in it for at least a little
while.
It relaxes my muscles and I feel a lot better, then I go back to whatever I was
doing. Then just before sunset I have to go out and get my last fix of sun for
the night. It works so much better than any pain killer or muscle relaxer
medication.

Just don't think I could ever move away,
Greg

Gentlemen of the quad list take note. For those of us capable of self
exercising one's own luv stick I make this suggestion to you. Exercise it often
or you will lose girth and length over time. Be cautious of not causing
disroflexia. If your not all ready in a relationship you may be at some point
and will want easy erections and the fullest possible size. Also if your
wearing a external cath. and lose to much girth you may have a hard time
finding a cath. size that fits. So stroke on my friends.

To state the obvious: It's easy to say don't take meds when you are not the one
suffering. We have cold sweats, clammy and miserable, not heat sweat like a
runner might have. We freeze and then start tightening our neck and shoulders
into a knot of pain that further increases the misery. I can't count the days I
have sat with a hair dryer blowing on my face and neck. It really angers me
when doctors say the equivalent of Take an aspirin and call me in the
morning. Quality of life means something, and a life of constant misery is not
one of quality. Sorry for the rant.

Wow, she must be the wisest person alive to know something like that. Of
course, many of us would rather take Aleve than narcotics. Hell, one or two of
us would even consider going without pain for a few days. To make such a pat
statement without at least discussing the increase in pain and how it is
effecting your life is irresponsible.

I hate that, when a doctor makes you feel like an addict, but when I feel
unjustly ashamed of my pain med requests I remember what one of my Craig
nurses said when I backed off the meds at a time when I really needed them,
for fear of the harm they could do to my body. She said, make note of ALL the
symptoms that go along with your pain- is your heart working harder? Are you
losing sleep? Are you able to eat normally? Do you tense up and create more
pain? (She was referring to my frozen shoulder) She pointed out that if the
answer to most of these questions was yes, then the pain medicine should be
taken because overall, it would do more good than bad.

Re: [QUAD-L] urodynamics

 Hey John,

I'm a C5, I wear an external condom also. For 12 years now. I've had the
urodynamics test done once, around 7 or 8 years ago. My results were good, ie.
no backflow. Over the 12 years, I've had only 2 UTI's. All I drink is water
and a cup of OJ every now and then. I'm voiding great. My Uro wants to do a
renogram, renoscan, and the urodynamics test again. I'm kinda against these
invasive procedures, especially when I'm fine.
How often do you have these tests done? What were your test result that they
said you couldn't wear a condom cath? Do you know when kick -off? If so, how?
Also do you have that electric pulse system?

It is a test to see how much force your bladder contracts with and how much
volume your bladder will accept before it contracts and voids. The complete
test can also show if you have backflow to your kidneys. Tiny valves in your
ureters can be forced to backflow when your bladder overfills and fails to void
or spasms and your urethral sphincter fails to open and the contraction sends
urine backwards into your kidneys. In these situatons they may wish to
eliminate all backpressure by changing you to an SP or an indwelling cath.

This gives them hard data numbers so they can say you would be better off with
an SP. There is no cost savings. In fact, this data is more for their studies
than for you. Your pretty much a guinea pig on this one.

According to my test results I can't wear a condom cath but I have done it for
22 years without catheterization for the past 15 years

There is a system that will induce a series of strong bladder spasms with a
simple mild electric pulse that you control. This system also builds your
bladder muscles so they no longer need the pulse. It is on the web someplace
but I can't seem to fnd it this moment. It can ruin your ureter valves as well
if your sphincter won't open.

In some cases people choose to remove the sphincter and it just drips as your
bladder fills.

The doctor should tell you what he is looking for before the test and what
outcome he/she would like.

Best Wishes,

john

Just so we can all get on the same page, here are the verifiable facts on
oil
  supplies, production, and gasoline demand.
In January of this year, the U.S. used 4%
less petroleum than we did a year
ago. (Oil demand was down 3.2% in February.) Furthermore, demand has been
falling slowly since July of last year. Ronald Bailey of Reason Online has
pointed out that worldwide production of oil has risen 2.5% in the first
quarter, while worldwide demand has grown by only 2%. Production is expected
to increase by 3.3% in the second quarter, and by as much as 4.1% by the
third
quarter. The net result is that the U.S. daily buffer for oil production
against demand, which was a paltry 1.5 million barrels as recently as 2005,
is
now up to 3 million barrels in excess capacity today.

So I stopped watching besides it seems like a

? Hey, Paul.
I just bought an '07 Odyssey in August.? I'm in a Permobil c500 stander, and
all is well.? I'm not driving yet though.? I need the EMC controls and the EMC
people won't allow their vendors to install those on a Honda Odyssey; they r
saying I have to send my van down to them.? Which is another issue in itself.?
Plus it cost an arm and leg.

 How r u driving?

Hello,?

In the car business you have ford, chevy, ford,
dodge...toyotawhich are known manufacturers that have proven
technology and any mechanic works on these. The you have saab, audi,
volvo, scion, saturn, fiat, mercedesthese car may be decent but
you cant get parts very easy and when u do its crazy high priced.?

?

?

The wheelchair business is the same you got invacare, quickie,
tilite...then you got the unknowns ibot, permobile and several more.?

?

When you buy a car or wheelchair you have to think about can i get parts
for this chair, how easy, how much, from which vendor.?

?

Quickie is the most proven, known, trusted manufacturerparts are
plentifulanyone works on them.?

?

I would never subject myself to the hell that buying an unknown is going
to be...the ibot is cool to watch but too much technology to keep
going in everyday life and come on are u really going up thirty stairs
with it.i think if you went up the thirty stairs 5 times a day you
would have a broken chair and a couple broken legs.?

[QUAD-L] Warning.....Sexual.

2007-12-15 Thread airgantone
Hello guys,

Let me get right to it.? This morning I was in the middle of the most erotic
dream I have ever had since my injury when I was awaken just at the moment we
long to remember (the big orgasm).? This dream felt s real that when I woke
up I felt just (well, pretty darn close) like I had a real orgasm, tingling all
over and my insides were too.? You know that feeling after you cum and you're
so sensitive that you just can't take another touch. That! ? I think I was
moaning just before I woke up also, because I opened my eyes thinking 'oh shit
did my wife just hear me.?
I know they say your brain is the most powerful sex organ but damn, I wasn't
expecting it to be like that.
My question is have any of you ever experience this and if so how can you
recreate it?

Would you happen to know of any attorneys that I can speak with that are
familiar with this, because all those that I spoke with here in Richmond, VA
are not aware that this can be done.

Thx

Dear Larry,

Just between you and me and santa, I think there is a way to have your wifes
pay put into a trust. The trust is run by her and has a stated objective (such
as keeping the two of you from poverty). You need a lawyer to help you set it
up. Your wife would be the CEO of the trust and you could be named treasurer.
It sounds complicated but esentially you put all you have into this trust. the
trust becomes responsible for maintaining a satisfactory means for living for
both of you. What is cool is it sidesteps a lot of taxes and it rents your home
to you while it pays the mortgage. Wealthy people all live through trusts. In
some states lawyers can turn you into a certified charity. Anything you pay the
lawyer is a tax write off and is paid by the trust which files its own taxes.

[QUAD-L] Vacation is Over, Mr. Bush

2005-09-02 Thread airgantone
Friday, September 2nd, 2005

Dear Mr. Bush:

Any idea where all our helicopters are? It's Day 5 of Hurricane Katrina and
thousands remain stranded in New Orleans and need to be airlifted. Where on
earth could you have misplaced all our military choppers? Do you need help
finding them? I once lost my car in a Sears parking lot. Man, was that a drag.

Also, any idea where all our national guard soldiers are? We could really use
them right now for the type of thing they signed up to do like helping with
national disasters. How come they weren't there to begin with?

Last Thursday I was in south Florida and sat outside while the eye of Hurricane
Katrina passed over my head. It was only a Category 1 then but it was pretty
nasty. Eleven people died and, as of today, there were still homes without
power. That night the weatherman said this storm was on its way to New Orleans.
That was Thursday! Did anybody tell you? I know you didn't want to interrupt
your vacation and I know how you don't like to get bad news. Plus, you had
fundraisers to go to and mothers of dead soldiers to ignore and smear. You sure
showed her!

I especially like how, the day after the hurricane, instead of flying to
Louisiana, you flew to San Diego to party with your business peeps. Don't let
people criticize you for this -- after all, the hurricane was over and what the
heck could you do, put your finger in the dike?

And don't listen to those who, in the coming days, will reveal how you
specifically reduced the Army Corps of Engineers' budget for New Orleans this
summer for the third year in a row. You just tell them that even if you hadn't
cut the money to fix those levees, there weren't going to be any Army engineers
to fix them anyway because you had a much more important construction job for
them -- BUILDING DEMOCRACY IN IRAQ!

On Day 3, when you finally left your vacation home, I have to say I was moved
by how you had your Air Force One pilot descend from the clouds as you flew
over New Orleans so you could catch a quick look of the disaster. Hey, I know
you couldn't stop and grab a bullhorn and stand on some rubble and act like a
commander in chief. Been there done that.

There will be those who will try to politicize this tragedy and try to use it
against you. Just have your people keep pointing that out. Respond to nothing.
Even those pesky scientists who predicted this would happen because the water
in the Gulf of Mexico is getting hotter and hotter making a storm like this
inevitable. Ignore them and all their global warming Chicken Littles. There is
nothing unusual about a hurricane that was so wide it would be like having one
F-4 tornado that stretched from New York to Cleveland.

No, Mr. Bush, you just stay the course. It's not your fault that 30 percent of
New Orleans lives in poverty or that tens of thousands had no transportation to
get out of town. C'mon, they're black! I mean, it's not like this happened to
Kennebunkport. Can you imagine leaving white people on their roofs for five
days? Don't make me laugh! Race has nothing -- NOTHING -- to do with this!

You hang in there, Mr. Bush. Just try to find a few of our Army helicopters and
send them there. Pretend the people of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast a
WW Recipesre near Tikrit.

Yours,

Michael Moore

[QUAD-L] Ready to have kids/ options besides IVF

2005-07-10 Thread airgantone
Hello guys, I'm 29, a C5 quad for almost 9 years. My wife and I have been
married for 5 of those years and we're ready for the rugrats. I'm able to get
and sustain an erection, but was only able to ejaculate once (at least we
thought I did, because I got the urge to pea, then my body locked up, then
started to spasm). I know IVF is an option, but who wants to put out that much
money. Have any of you been or know of some who have been successful with
electroejaculation and IUI(intrauterine insemination)? Or any of the other
options for retrieving sperm and getting pregnant?

Thanks,
Joone/ airgantone
