Re: [QUAD-L] Political joke
I agree, Never knew we had a program here, thought it was mostly Quads communicating, but I'm sure Jim Lubin could correct me if I'm wrong. Politics does have an effect on our well being, so it is on topic. Why does Kerry and the mainstream media lie that President Bush banned stem cell research? The last issue of PN magazine (put out by the PVA) spelled out how much Federal money was given for that research and the Federal guidlines on how it should be spent. Private sector using private donations do not have to follow those guidlines. Stuntman hey i've been on it for 3 years and the first thing i learned was you DON'T have to open an email you DON'T like the subject of! if you don't like it don't read it.. bob quinn [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I've been on this list for about a year now and garnered a lot of helpful information about dealing with my life as a quad. there have been too many times, however, that my mailbox has been filled with irrelevant opinions and ensuing arguments. [QUAD-L] Political Joke #2 *Kittens*
A Senate staffer is taking a stroll around Capitol Hill when he meets a little girl carrying a small basket with a blanket over it. Curious, he says to the girl, "What's in the basket?" She replies, "New baby kittens" and opens the basket to show him. "How nice," he said. "What kind are they?" Little girl says, "Democrats." He smiles and pats the little girl on the head and he continues on. About three weeks later, he and another member of the Senate staff are again strolling on Capitol Hill when he sees the little girl again with the same basket. He says to his colleague; "Watch this, it's very cute" and they approach the little girl. He asks the girl how the kittens are and she says fine. He then says, "What kind of kittens are they?" and she replies, "Republicans." Somewhat abashed, he says, "Three weeks ago you said they were Democrats!" "I know," she says. "But now their eyes are open".

[QUAD-L] Political joke
Yeah, I agree witcha Bob. There is no room on this list for any comedy as there are too many more important issues Quads must face. By the way, I haven't seen you posting so I can't tell what you want. Kinda like an angry spouse who won't talk with their mate and yet expect them to know exactly what they need and want. Maybe if they just added delete buttons to computers, people could just delete those unwanted messages and emails. That sounds like a great idea. (back to the basement) Keep those posts coming, Bob. Re: [QUAD-L] Political joke
Heyyy Kids...Bob has a point here!! There are people here, or signing up, trying to connect with other quads on this incredible situation of quadism. I know i've been guilty of this political-wrangling too, and I've rethought it, and we should really tone down the inflammatory subjects. Think about it, it would be hard to break in with something sensitive if you were new...and somebody who reads the posts for a few weeks before ever posting might get a bad impression. That being said, i feel like this list is somewhat of a community room, and most of us have many things on our minds besides being in a chair. I've enjoyed getting to know people that share the chair, but not limited to itin fact, in the past, i've said being a quad is a fraction of who i am, and i can't filter out the rest of me. So, you're going to get ALL of me, but from now on, i'm going to avoid the Holy Wars!!! peacetony c5/c6 car vs tree, musician/writer/driver/worker/beach bum - Original Message - From: bob quinn [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: ~LittleQuad~ [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Amy Elizabeth [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, September 01, 2004 3:04 PM Subject: Re: [QUAD-L] Political joke I've been on this list for about a year now and garnered a lot of helpful information about dealing with my life as a quad. there have been too many times, however, that my mailbox has been filled with irrelevant opinions and ensuing arguments. [QUAD-L] Political joke
One sunny day in 2005 an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue, where he'd been sitting on a park bench. He spoke to the U.S. Marine standing guard and said, "I would like to go in andmeet with President Kerry." The Marine looked at the man and said, "Sir, Mr. Kerry was not elected President." The old man said, "Okay" and walked away. The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry." The Marine again told the man, "Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Kerry was not elected President and does not reside here." The man thanked him again and just walked away. The third day the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same U.S. Marine, saying, "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry." The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, "Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mr. Kerry.I've told you already that Mr. Kerry was not elected President and does not reside here. Do you understand?" The old man looked at the Marine and said, "Oh, I understand. I just love Hearing it." The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, "See you tomorrow."
