the dizziness you're experiencing when you get up could be low blood
pressure. You can also get it from not being able to breathe well, but my
experience low blood pressure is mainly the cause of my lightheadedness.

Do any of you non vent quads feel like you need oxygen ?
I'm a C/5 and often feel like I'm not getting enough air, like I can't
 breath deep enough.
My oxygen count is high enough, around 94 or higher.

 Thx, Greg

Ya every so often but only half my diaphragm works since I’m an asymmetric
injury c2/c4. I’ve got an oxygen concentrator I use if my sat’s go to low

I kinda get that way Greg, when i do, I use a pro-aire inhailer, it seems to
help, I really need it in winter months and in summer if it is hot or I get
overheated. Dan H**

It was 'flagged' L after a Component Metabolic Panel. He tests my blood
twice a yr because of the meds I take. While checking on the liver, he does it
all.
I quit smoking two yrs ago but even at that, I didn't smoke much. 3-4 a day
 put them out 1/2 smoked.

ps I'm familiar with the blood/oxygen test but it wasn't that. Boy, those
really hurt!

Hi Dianne,

When I was in the ICU at hospital, I would set-off their blood/oxygen machine
when I would fall asleep. My Doctor looked at the charts and put me on oxygen
while I was there, but said my oxygen would drop just a little when I slept,
but not enough to be worried. Since I'm always awake for ''tests'', they always
come back okay. We wouldn't even know my oxygen level drop when I sleep, if
they hadn't caught it in ICU. It's in my file now, and my doctor would give me
oxygen for my nights, if I wanted him to, but I'm just watching how I feel at
night right now.
