Split GPG does not work with Fedora 24. I upgraded my fedora-23 minimal gpg
template to Fedora 24 and I just get:

[user@personal ~]$ qubes-gpg-client -K
/bin/sh: /etc/qubes-rpc/qubes.Gpg: No such file or directory
EOF

It doesn't do the second prompt to allow access for the 300 seconds at all.
What would cause this?

[qubes-users] dmenu font size in i3

2016-09-24 Thread Sebastian Jug
I've upgraded my fedora-23 template to fedora-24 based on another thread here
since it's not official yet. It seems all packages to do with i3 including
dmenu are still fc23 packages? Why is that?

Additionally, with dmenu 4.5 that's packaged.. I haven't been able to change
the font or the font size. Any luck?

Re: [qubes-users] VA-API in AppVM

2016-09-19 Thread Sebastian Jug
Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the response.
I can watch youtube a variety of different ways with different codecs and
decoders, however, they all use a ton of CPU usage at 720p or greater.
VAAPI is hardware decoding acceleration for Intel, so that way it uses 1-3%
CPU vs 30-80%.
I realize that 3d acceleration is not an option, but is VAAPI possible?

[qubes-users] VA-API in AppVM

2016-09-14 Thread Sebastian Jug
Hey guys,

A big problem for me with Qubes is being able to do random mundane tasks like
watching YouTube videos. Is it possible to get video acceleration working in
appvm specifically VA-API?

I know the 3d acceleration is not possible unless it's in a HVM but this may be
more straightforward?

Thanks.

Re: [qubes-users] 3.2-rc1, xfce4 volume control

2016-09-03 Thread sebastian . jug
I've found the issue,
if we go to System Tools -> Settings Editor -> xfce4-mixer
you need to set the property "active-card" to the value of the card you want to
change volume for. This is independent of which card is active for alsa by
default.

However the mute is still broken. When you press mute, it mutes both Master &
Speaker, when it unmutes it only unmutes property "active-track" which is
typically Master OR Speaker.

2016-09-03 Thread sebastian . jug
In 3.2-rc3 the volume buttons still don't work for me either. I had to set the
master card to #1 rather than #0 but I don't know how to change this for
xfce4-volumed.
