Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Brightness in idle state
Could I also add that the radio needs some better brightness control - the auto dimming is a great idea but in a dark room (e.g. bedroom) it goes so dark that it cannot be read unless you are right next to the unit. I understand that's probably what some people need if they have beside the bed but we have it at on a table at the end of the bed. [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio doesn't work with #slim:noscan=1 in url
I've got an OMPL file set up so I can access radio stations offered mirrored by my ISP. These are not accessible by anyone except for user of the ISP, so to have mysqueezebox.com work with these, I'd been told to add #slim:noscan=1 at the end of the URLs. This has worked with my other squeezeboxes, but with the Squeezebox Radio I get an ICY 404 Resource not Found error with any URL followed by this. I presume this is because the Squeezebox Radio does its own processing when accessing internet radio stations, and likely doesn't understand this extra tag. The URL of the opml is http://www.users.on.net/~tass/Internode.opml and an example of a URL that previously worked is http://radio.internode.on.net:8108#slim:noscan=1 Is this something that will never work from the radio? [SlimDevices: Radio] Can you use your own Backgrounds, Yes you can.
Attention, all you do is on your own risk. Here a explanation on how you can use your own Backgrounds for the Radio. First make some pictures, size 320x240 pix. Save it with the following extension and name: like: bb_your name.png Now on the radio activate the SSH. You get a IP and a password, write it down. Now use something like WINSCP. Then go to: usr/share/jive/applets Open the folder Setupwallpaper. Copy your Backgrounds in this directory. Close WINSCP. Disconnect the Radio form the mains, and plug it in again. The Radio reboots. Now go to Display - Backgrounds and choose your own. Here are some Backgrounds I made.
