Re: [rt-users] how to change a queue name

2015-11-30 Thread Kobus Bensch
You see, I have always had to make sure that there is an alias for the
queue in the aliases file. As far as I know it is not automatic. Unless
I just dont understand how your system is put together.

Thanks Kobus.

With our installation if the email address prefix matches the queue
name there hasn't been any need to edit the aliases file.

For example, if I forward someth...@ourdomain.com
<mailto:someth...@ourdomain.com> to our RT server and in there have a
queue named "something" it just works.

We have only needed to edit the aliases file if we wanted email with
some other prefix to land in an existing queue.

Does 'fixing' the name in the web interface of RT not fix something
behind the scenes? This is what I am suspecting but I'm not sure how
to check. If that is the case I guess we would need to edit the
aliases file.

[rt-users] Custom Field Template

2015-10-15 Thread Kobus Bensch

Hi

I have written a script that looks like this:

Desc: On Change of CF
Cond: User Defined
Action: Notify AdminCCs
Template: CR Change Admin Correspond

Custom Condition: return 0 unless $self->TransactionObj->Type eq
'CustomField';

  return 1;

The Template Looks like this:
Name: CR Change Admin Correspondence
Desc: Plain text admin correspondence template when CF is changed
Type: Perl
Content: RT-Attach-Message: yes

Config->Get('WebURL')}Ticket/Display.html?id={$Ticket->id} >

The CR_Owner was changed to: {$Ticket->FirstCustomFieldValue('CR_Owner')}

{$Transaction->Content()}

How can I change this to say:

If field 1 has changed {$Ticket->FirstCustomFieldValue('CR_Owner')}
If Field 2 has changed {$Ticket->FirstCustomFieldValue('CR_Date')}

Etc...

Basically want to onlist the fields in an email if they have changed.

Thanks in advance

Kobus

Running this command does not mean it is installed. It just tells you
which packages provides the libjpeg.so

Does the lib actually exist in

/usr/lib/libjpeg.so or /usr/lib64/libjpeg.so

[rt-users] New ticket layout change

2015-09-18 Thread Kobus Bensch

Hi

I am in the process of creating an electronic change request system in
RT. At the moment the layout is as follows:

-
| Create new ticket | Basics
|  Requestor | Queue
|  CC |  Status
|  Admin CC  | Owner
|  Subject |---
|  Describe Issue  |Assets
| |---
| |Custom Fields
| |CF1
| |cf2
| |cf3
| |cf4
| |cfr5
| |cf6
| |cf7
| |etc
-
How do I move the Custom field section to the left and across the whole
page for this one queue if possible?

How do I change the filed sizes for CF's on a per field basis?

Thanks in advance.

Kobus
P.S. I have searched for the 2 queries. On the first found no answers.
The second there are multiple answers, but I could not get any of them
to work on a per field basis. Maybe just missing something.

but it is all listed in a 2 column display. Some of my CF’s I have changed to
be bigger and it is now overlapping on the right. So ideally I would like just
one column, not 2.

Can anybody advise as to where I can change this please?

Thanks

Hi

I am still having problems with the login screen after each click and
read in the readme that it is better to use latin1 character set. My

 The MySQL schema change is not mentioned at all in the README. In my opinion
 that is really
 a mistake and led many people omitting the schema change (including me).
 We just didn't get there at all. And UPGRADING.mysql doesn't sound that
 urgent to
 setups running current MySQL versions.

Your RT log should have error message that correspond to this. Look
in /var/log/messages (assuming a reasonably common syslog
configuration), and make sure you're logging debug priority messages.
In RT_*Config.pm:

  Set($LogToSyslog, 'debug');

(But note recent messages to this list regarding the performance
impact of logging at this priority level).

You should be able to trigger this problem on demand in order to
diagnose it. Get a copy of the message that triggered the error, and
then pipe it to:

  /opt/rt3/bin/rt-mailgate --queue 'IT Helpdesk' --action correspond
--url http://rt.con.com/

You should see useful error messages either on your screen or in the log.

Hi

2GB on rt/db server.

I will have to look at the innodb settings, not changed these before so
will have to dig around.

Ticket volume is very low. Around 20 max a day.

I checked httpd and mysql logs and when this occur there is nothing much
going on in the logs.

Thanks for the help.

Sounds like the oom-killer is getting mysql. How much memory is on

Hi

2GB on rt/db server.

I will have to look at the innodb settings, not changed these before so
will have to dig around.

Ticket volume is very low. Around 20 max a day.

I checked httpd and mysql logs and when this occur there is nothing much
going on in the logs.

Thanks for the help.

[rt-users] RT 3.6.5 and Sendmail error and looks like perl error

2008-03-11 Thread Kobus Bensch
Hello everyone

I have been seeing this in the sendmail logs:

Mar 11 18:20:12 centos sendmail[7978]: m2BGLulV003149:
to=|/opt/rt3/bin/rt-mailgate --queue 'FSL' --action correspond --url

xdelay=00:00:01, mailer=prog, pri=661951, dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: prog
mailer (/usr/sbin/smrsh) exited with EX_TEMPFAIL

Can anybody help me sort this.

I also did the following:

cat test |/opt/rt3/bin/rt-mailgate --queue 'FSL' --action correspond --url
http://rt.comp.co.uk/ --debug

and I get this:

Connecting to http://rt.comp.co.uk//REST/1.0/NoAuth/mail-gateway at
/opt/rt3/bin/rt-mailgate line 102,  line 1.

The RT server which handled your email did not behave as expected. It

said:

Now I am not too hot on this type of perl stuff, but I did try to update
File::Temp which was successful, but still the same problem.

I run RT 3.6.5 on Centos 5 with sendmail.

Please can someone help and let me know if you need more info to help me
sort this.

Thanks

prevent this except for the users belonging to all groups.

I have the following setup:

User A belongs to group A. Queue Comp1 has group a as membership with
the following rights for the group and the queue:

Queue group rights

 Current rights

/(Check box to revoke right)/
CommentOnTicket
CreateTicket
OwnTicket
ReplyToTicket
SeeQueue
StealTicket
TakeTicket
Watch

Group rights

 Current rights

/(Check box to revoke right)/
SeeGroup

Can you perhaps let em know where I am going wrong.

Thanks in advance

Hi matthew,
Me too, if you have something, pls share.

Does anyone have something to cleanly monitor the rt performance?
Response times etc? We are using a scrip at this moment which does a
wget and this pain in the ass.

Any idea is welcome

Matthew;
If you have any benchmarking techniques , can you share them please I'll
be interested in how to monitor RT activities.

 Version 3.6.1 actually. I'll give it a try though and see what happens.
  I know there is a benchmarking method that was explained in the RT
 training I attended so I'll look in my documentation and see what I find
 for that.

 Keep up with my goings on at http://theillien.blogspot.com

 What version of RT are you using?
 With 3.6.1, I noticed slowness with transaction custom fields
queries,

 if you do not use them try and comment out the following lines from
 html/Ticket/Elements/ShowTransaction

 %# if ($Transaction-CustomFieldValues-Count) {
 %#   /Elements/ShowCustomFields, Object = $Transaction
 %#}

 You may find tickets display quicker --but again do this if you do not
 use Transaction CF's--

 I've been informed that some are beginning to complain about the speed

 of RT when it comes to loading tickets that contain attachments. This
 has led to the question of distributed computing in the way of load
 balancing. I'd like to avoid moving in this direction with RT as we
 don't have the need for it. Our user base is small as is our ticket
 count.

 It would seem that most of the bottleneck comes from actually loading
 the page. I've found that tickets with numerous transactions (exact
 number not known) tend to be slow to load even without attachments.

 How should I go about pinpointing the bottleneck so I can find a
 solution that won't require a major tech refresh?
