   - Participate in discussions with customers, along with the product
   team, to understand their data requirements.
   - Translate the business requirements in to corresponding data
   requirements.
   - Collect and process data at scale from a variety of sources for
   different project needs.
   - Participate in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and integrating big
   data frameworks and tools required for the big data platform.
   - Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines , data platforms using
   selected frameworks and tools based on requirements from different projects.
   - Convert structured and unstructured data into the form that is
   suitable for processing. Provide support to different teams in analysing
   data.
   - Design, develop and maintain data API’s.
   - Integrate data from variety of data sources using federation /
   virtualization techniques.
   - Develop solutions independently based on high-level design and
   architecture with minimal supervision.
   - Monitor the performance of the data platform on a regular basis and
   tune the infrastructure and platform components accordingly to ensure the
   best performance.
   - Maintain a high level of expertise in data technologies and stay
   current on latest data technologies.

*Qualifications*

   - Overall 10+ year experience in software design and development.
   - 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
   - Prior experience with implementing big data platform components that
   are scalable, high performing, and lower in operations cost.
   - Proven experience with integration of data from multiple heterogeneous
   and distributed data sources.
   - Experience with processing large amounts of data (structured and
   unstructured), building data models, data cleaning, data visualization and
   reporting.
   - Experience in production support and troubleshooting.
   - Hands-on knowledge of containers, API designing and implementing is a
   must.
   - Experience with NoSQL databases, Graph databases, relational

   - Collect and process data at scale from a variety of sources for
   different project needs.
   - Participate in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and integrating big
   data frameworks and tools required for the big data platform.
   - Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines , data platforms using
   selected frameworks and tools based on requirements from different projects.
   - Convert structured and unstructured data into the form that is
   suitable for processing. Provide support to different teams in analysing

   - Design, develop and maintain data API’s.
   - Integrate data from variety of data sources using federation /
   virtualization techniques.
   - Develop solutions independently based on high-level design and
   architecture with minimal supervision.
   - Monitor the performance of the data platform on a regular basis and
   tune the infrastructure and platform components accordingly to ensure the
   best performance.
   - Maintain a high level of expertise in data technologies and stay
   current on latest data technologies.

*Qualifications*

   - Overall 10+ year experience in software design and development.
   - 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
   - Prior experience with implementing big data platform components that
   are scalable, high performing, and lower in operations cost.
   - Proven experience with integration of data from multiple heterogeneous
   and distributed data sources.
   - Experience with processing large amounts of data (structured and
   unstructured), building data models, data cleaning, data visualization and
   reporting.
   - Experience in production support and troubleshooting.
   - Hands-on knowledge of containers, API designing and implementing is a
   must.

"As a Platform Architect, you will identify, evaluate and provision big

Responsibilities:

• Build high-efficiency, secure, real-time, batch data pipelines for ingest
and processing

• Ensure the architecture supports all functional and non-functional
requirements

• Establish and implement frameworks and standards for the data organization

• Help identify, analyze and resolve infrastructure problems and come up
with recommendations and ownership of the platform • Develop technical
content, such as white papers and reference architectures, that can be used
to assist in deploying cloud-based analytics solutions

• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the Big Data and AWS
solutions architect community

• Work closely with client’s architects on platform architecture,
improvements , application onboarding and supporting , Training and
mentoring team members. Basic Qualifications:

• 8+ years of architecture design experience

• Experience working with large, cross-functional teams.

• Experience developing platform architectures with one or more big data
technologies (such as HDFS, Hbase, Spark, NiFi, Kafka) preferably in
Hortonworks data platform on AWS ; General understanding of the tradeoffs
that come with these technologies, such as when they are appropriate to
use, and what it takes to secure and operationalize them.

• Experience designing new or enhancing existing architecture frameworks
and implementing them in a cooperative setting.

• Strong conceptual understanding of security. Familiar with the mechanics
of implementing various cyphers ,algorithms and Kerberos.

• Passionate about delivering platform technologies and features in a team
environment.

• Demonstrate the ability to quickly ramp on new technologies.

• Troubleshooting skills, ability to determine impacts, ability to resolve
complex issues, and initiative in stressful situations.

• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data analytic tools including Hive, Spark, Storm, HBase,
Hue, Zeppelin, etc. • Experience with caching and queueing technologies –
Kafka/Kinesis, Rabbitmq/SQS, Redis/Memcache etc.

• Experience with REST APIs, Java and Python

• Experience working in a Linux environment such as Red Hat, CentOS or
Ubuntu

• Experience with Terraform, Chef scripting

*Required Skills/Attributes*

· Overall experience of 12-15 years in DW/BI projects and last 3-4
years of experience in building large Hadoop platforms

· Strong understanding of data and designing Data Lake platforms on
Hadoop

· Must have experience as ETL Architect working with Big data
technologies

· Should have expert  level knowledge on Kafka, Spark, PySpark, and
Impala

· Should be able suggest new solutions to the team and performance
improvements as required

· Utility industry experience in Customer Service or Transmission &
Distribution will be preferred

· TOGAF certification, Big Data Architect certification will be
added advantage
