There should be two things you could filter on. One should be the:
List-Id header is an Internet standard (RFC 2919 RFC 2369)

The one I use however is just to match "sent" for:
SCIENTIFIC-LINUX-USERS@listserv.fnal.gov; scientific-linux-us...@fnal.gov
And move to the folder.

I'm using Gmail apps and there appears to be nothing common to each

Procmail. For this and other FNAL lists I use this recipe:

$MAILDIR/.fnal.lists.$MATCH/

I filter and apply a label using a rule to match
"scientific-linux-us...@fnal.gov OR
scientific-linux-users@listserv.fnal.gov" in the "To" field. The "To"
field catches cc's to those email addresses, as in your email.

It is running listserv so I think it adds various List-... headers.
Personally I filter on the Return-path (ie the envelope sender) but not
all mail systems make that particularly easy...

that's what browser extensions are for, to block that crap. You're the

The last couple of posts re this on this list is precisely why some of us want

If you're saying that myself, and the other people on the forum aren't
serious about it, then you are out of line imo. Changing the domain is, and
has been under consideration. Remember, the forum is basically just a Q and
A session relating to desktop/workstation users' problems, primarily. This
is the official channel for announcements and what-not, so i don't see that
_any_ community splitting is going on whatsoever. Expansion, yes. Problems
could be duplicated, yes...but I think if I started forwarding forum posts
here, there would be quite a stir over it.

So how do those who prefer mail lists see the material posted on
the forum? If that material isn't automatically forwarded to the
appropriate mail list, a large portion of the community will be
unaware of important topics. It would seem that the forum would be
much the poorer without their contributions.

I honestly prefer mailing lists or NNTP as forums each require a different
place to go to see if there are updates, or else there's constant getting an
e-mail notice, which doesn't actually let you know what was posted so then you
have to click through, and log in to post a reply.

Even in the best case, like the Zenoss forums with a mail bridge, there's often
buggyness or complexities that aren't needed with a mailing list or NNTP...

My biggest complaint with web forums is the volume of spam that seems to
get through, no matter how hard you work against it. I don't think that
is something Connie, Troy, and company want eating up their time. The
mailing list is indexed and searchable on the website already. I'm not
