RE: CSNot Ivan's, Herx's CS calculator

2001-11-10 Thread I Anderson
Well, how kind!

But much as I would love to have managed to create such a useful
program, alas I did not.
Credit must go to our new friend 'herx', who has done a marvellous job
in its creation and presentation.

(Yes, we will see how accurate it is shortly, some adjustment will
need to be made for the silver which plates out on the cathode.)

To the conductivity measurement vs actual ppm... theory would have the
ppm (as ions) multiplied by 0.74 (or thereabouts) to give
corresponding conductivity in uS. In other words conductivity times
1.35 should give ppm (as ions). In reality the a factor of 1.0 works
in my case, and others report a factor of 0.85 - 1.05 times
conductivity to be a true representation of ionic concentration.

There has been to date, no satisfactory explanation as to why the
theory does not fit the facts, other than my own tentative idea that
the ions form aggregations of some number, that is multi-ion
particles, at particular concentrations. There is some support for
this in the literature, but it is all a bit academic, and sure to
rouse the Philistines among us to ban the messages that contain such
technical drivel ;-) this could be considered humour given enough
leeway

Yours (tongue in cheek etc.)

Ivan.

 Ivan,

Thanks for the equation spread sheet. Now for the
 practicalities: It is
obvious by the crud that forms on the electrodes and falls to
 the bottom
that not all the silver being electrolytically removed from
 the electrode
ends up as colloids. And some of the silver ends up as ions.
   So what is a
practical factor to apply to the result of your PPM calculation? I
am
guessing one would multiply the result of the Faraday
 equation by a third to
 a half.

By the way, do you still believe the Hanna PWT readings
 should be multiplied
by 0.59 (going by memory here) that you stated in this forum
 two years or so
 ago?

Hello list, long time listener, first time caller.

I've read many posts here regarding calculating ppm of CS. I can
help
you figure out the ppm of the CS you're brewing at home, or help you
determine how long you need to brew in order to get any desired ppm.

There are several ways of knowing the PPM of your homemade
 CS. One way
that doesn't require an expensive PWT meter is to use
 Faraday's equation
for electrolytic deposition. If you know how much current is
flowing
through your electrodes, you can calculate the PPM being produced.
If
you're not up on electrochemistry, I've written a spreadsheet
 that will
 calculate it for you.

CSberkey MTBE black walnut 2 gallon glass

2001-11-10 Thread JD's Nutritelligencia Institute of N.America

Has anyone experienced an increase in the strength of ametallic taste in HVAC produced CS after allowing it to sit over a period of time.. I had never noticed such for the first couple years, but recently noticed a distinct increase in metallicity of taste. A newbie even noticed this the second day after production. I decided to try some product several months old and noticed it was extremely metallic even though i had previously never noticed much of any metallic taste from new or "aged" product.
Does anyone know a source for 2 gallon glass bottles (or larger) with a sufficiently wide mouth for HVAC production?
Has anyone ever utilized CS in conjunction with ethanol for making herbal tinctures? I sampled some fresh green black walnut hull tincture utilizing CS and ethanol as the solvents last nite. Who! Man was it potent... I have never had experienced such a potent tasting version as the "green" essence flavor was particularly strong. I had beenconsuming the same tincture using the same crop of green hulls (minus the CS). I was thinking the CS might protect the tincture...keeping it greener. I think it worked. I won't be taking a big shot in the future as i found it a challenge to keep down.
Highly recommend readingthe information regarding an economicalalternative to Berkey recently posted The information on MTBE contamination of our water supplies is simply shocking (gasoline additive). A must read for informed citizens.Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

CSNew List Member Introduction

2001-11-10 Thread Roger D Ragain
Hello Everyone,

My name name is Roger Ragain and I have just joined this list. I have an
interest in natural remedies and prevenatives and when someone told me
about CS, I began an internet search to learn more about it. Thats one of
the reason I joined this list. I tried to join the digest form of email
but it didn't work. Is this option available anymore?

I am looking to purchase a generator and would appreciate hearing what
others are using and if they are sastisfied or what they would buy if
they had known more at the time. I plan on using it for human and animal
consumption as I'm a pigeon fancier also. I've found the prices in the
health food store outrageous for just several ounces and making my own
would pay for itself after several batches.

Thanks,

2. Know the amount of current flowing through your electrodes. You'll
need to have a multimeter with a scale that reads current in increments

3. Know the amount of time (in minutes) your current flows.

If I recall correctly the bulb was used as a done indicator. It would
start glowing around 8 mA and that mean that the

You would need one that worked at 36+ volts anyway.

There is a useful purpose, but hopefully not needed. If the rods
were to short together, there would be a large current drawn,
rapidly draining the battery. If there is a suitable voltage lamp
in series with one of the rods, the current would be limited to
that of the lamp rating and the light emmitted would be a warning
that a short existed. The lamps are a very low resistance compared
to the resistance of the DW and rods, so don't affect the brew time
 or resulting CS characteristics.

Looking through the Mouser catalog, for a 3 battery, 27 volt system,
 the Chicago Minature # 6838, 28 Volts, 0.024 Amps (24 mA), Mouser
P/N 606-CM6838 $1.70 would be ideal. It has wire leads so a socket
is not required, and would limit current flow to 24 mA. Of course,
if a 28V lamp is used on a 36V system and a short occurs, the bulb
will be very bright for a short time, then fail. Two 18V 26 mA bulbs,
#7220 in series would work well for a 36 V system.

You could obtain 3 X 12V low mA bulbs and tie the legs together (three
legs joined together X 2) but whether they would light at the 8mA
that you would be using, I don't know.

Three legs tied together sounds like a parallel connection, not
series. With three 12V bulbs wired in parallel, the combination
would still light with 12V applied, but use 3 times the current.
 Series connection is what's needed.

Of course, those of us that never make mistooks and never let the
rods bump into each other don't need the light bulbs.

Re: CSCS in the gall bladder??

2001-11-10 Thread Marshall Dudley
The best I can do is an educated guess. The salts would most likely be
chlorides. Thus if they combined with the ionic portion of CS would form silver
chloride. Silver Chloride is almost insoluble in water, so much of it would
precipitate out immediately. What is left should be of such low concentration
that Argyria would not be a problem.

  My questions are these.

~Does anyone have a theory of how long I should administer the CS to have

I am using one gallon of DW with a conductance of 0.24 uS/cc that would be

Now, the arconym of HVAC does not cover the area. Was it made with two

It does make a world of difference. The parallel wire method is a

reruning the cone method as it has been 3 years since I looked at it.
The ARC method has been the most stable of the three, but it has a very

CSUpdated Arthritis summary.

2001-11-10 Thread Jan Carew
Hi list,

Thanks to all who have responded and made the list so comprehensive.

The asterisked ones I haven't got any suggested dosages.

For the dosages I have gleaned, I've given amounts in approx mls as well as
ozs ( we use the dreaded litres this end of the world!) - trust my maths is
OK

Hoping this will be a useful reference to all fellow arthritis sufferers.
Jan

  SUGGESTED ARTHRITIS REMEDIES UPDATE

1. Colloidal silver - start drinking an ounce/day, then double the amount
each day until you are drinking 4 oz./120mls, 3 times per day (spreading out
the CS consumption through the day). You could even drink another
1/2cup/9ozs/250mls just before bed.

2. MSM - 5g/day or 10g/day - eg 2,000 mg per meal (2 caps per meal, 6
caps/6,000 mg/day). Buy in bulk thro' Internet.

3. DMSO applied topically

 4. Collastin*

 5. Glucosamine HCl + chondroitin sulphate*

 6. Omega 3*

 7. Cider Apple Vinegar - 2t in water on rising, then 2t CAV + 2t
molasses + 1t honey in water, drunk with each meal.

 8. B12 -1000mcg injected daily for 3 days,
   1000mcg every 48 hrs for 8 days,
1000mcg every 5 days. (for how long?)

 9. WATER - many glasses per day!
Divide weight in lbs by 2, then by 8 - this is number of
ounces/day. An average glass holds 8ozs so divide by 8 to see how
many actual glassfuls should be imbibed per day. Each cup of
coffee/tea or glass of alcohol/squash should be counterbalanced by
  an extra glass of water.

10.Drink goat's milk not cow's milk - preferably form your own goat
which is allowed to graze on wild vegetation.

11.Don't eat any of the Solanaceae family (nightshades) - tomatoes,

2001-11-10 Thread Wayne Fugitt

Evening Al,

That is an interesting situation you have. You are lucky you have a
rational doctor.

the transit times of my digestive process had not been so fast. IE: the
CS is still active by the time it gets to my intestines so it kills everything.

   What quantity do you take?

Can anyone recommend a good probiotic I have heard so many
stories of high priced probiotics that are basically dead, that I though I
would turn to the experts. What do you guys use/recommend for a probiotic???

One of the products I use has a number of probiotic cultures.
The container states 4 billion per gram at time of manufacture. This
sounds like they the number may decline with time.

The heading states..

Lactabacillus Probiotic Culture... 200mg.

Under that heading are the following. ( no individual quantity )

L. Acidophilus L. Bulgaris L. Bifidus
L. Lactis L. RhamnosusL. Casei
L. PlantarumL. Brevis L. Salivarius

Surely the combination is good for something. Actually, I did not even buy
the product for this

component as it contains 24 other ingredients.

This product is simply called a GreenFoods formula and states that it is
Phytonutrient Rich.

Another name that must be used if you use their search is Green Max Powder.

If you compare it with others, you may find some better or some with less
items.
It is reasonably priced. On the website it is shown at $ 11.00 for 300
grams. When I called to place the oder, I was told it was $ 15.00 but I
got it for the web site price.

Just checked and the web site price is still $11.95. I may order a few
containers before they change the price.

Take a look at .. http://www.swansonvitamins.com/ ( their site is
working a bit lousy, so it may be hard to find )

I think this is a decent product. I use the suggested amount of 1 tbs per
day added to my daily protein drink. Also add 2 tbs whipping cream and 2
tbs of flax oil Plus about 12 ounces of skim milk. The main ingredient is
from Natures Plus. Nature's Plus has some products that might

get your attention as well.

  Hello Fellow Silver Searchers,
I have just completed a scan for various bacteria in my intestinal system.
The Dr. thought I might have Leaky Gut so she ordered a very comprehensive
testing. It came back with the results that I don't have Leaky Gut Syndrome,
and no candida, but it also said that I have Zero amount of Lactobacillus. She
speculated that the colloidal silver killed not only the bad bacteria, but also
the good. I have had IBS for about a year and have been experiencing very fast
transit times for my food. She also speculated that the CS would NOT have been
a problem if the transit times of my digestive process had not been so fast.
IE: the CS is still active by the time it gets to my intestines so it kills
everything.
She recommended adding a large amount of fiber to slow the transit times.
She also said to take a probiotic with lactobacillus in it, but no bifidus
bacteria. Can anyone recommend a good probiotic I have heard so many
stories of high priced probiotics that are basically dead, that I though I
would turn to the experts. What do you guys use/recommend for a probiotic???

Hi Donna ~

CS may surely work, as it is supposed to kill fungus. As suggested earlier,
internal doses would help as well as the external. Just put some CS into their
non-metal waterers.

ACV (apple cider vinegar) eliminated athletes foot my son had for over a year.
We tried sprays, creams, lotions, powdersgeeze, nothing worked. After his
evening shower, I made him apply ACV to both his dried feet and allow it to dry
- just poured straight. He did this for 3 nights in a row and the athletes
foot fungus has NEVER returned. It's been years now and it was awful on both
feet! ACV can be given internally as well.

Subject: RE: CSCS in the gall bladder??

| Christiane,
|
| The gallbladder functions to store and concentrate the bile
| manufactured in the liver, for eventual delivery to the small
| intestine via the cystic duct. In doing this the gallbladder absorbs
| water and ions from the bile into the gallbladder mucosa.
|
| Bile consists of mainly water and bile acids, bile salts, cholesterol,
| a phospholipid called lecithin, bile pigments and several ions.
| Bile salts are sodium and potassium salts of bile acids. The bile has
| a pH of 7.6 - 8.6.
|
| Most of the bile salts are reabsorbed in the end part of the small
| intestine (Ileum) and enter the portal blood flowing toward the liver.
|
| I can see no reason not to treat the gallbladder directly with CS. As
| the gallbladder drains directly into the small intestine, much of the
| CS will be lost in the faeces. You could not introduce enough silver
| (grams) by this method to cause argyria.
|
| As much of the CS is probably complexed by the bile acids etc. I
| should think that small but frequent applications would be a
| reasonable approach. I am not sure of the physical method that
| flushing describes...does that mean filling the gallbladder and then
| draining it? If so, how many times could you do this a day? In any
| event, it would be wise to continue the CS flush for a week or so
| after the bile becomes clear, as it seems the seat of the infection
| had not been cleared thus far.
|
| It is my opinion that argyria is not a consideration in this matter,
| and that your guide should be, your judgment as to the elimination of
| the infection.
|
| Some wiser heads than mine might venture an opinion as to whether
| adding a small amount of DMSO to the CS might make the treatment more
| effective.
| You might also consider magnetic pulsing as an adjunct.
|
| Kind regards
| Ivan.

|
| Hello All,
| I know that this is a question that no one has any concrete
| experience with,
| but I know that some of you may have some educated opinions
| on the risks,
| or lack there of.of putting CS directly
| into the gall
| bladder.
|
| My 5 year old daughter has a tube coming from her gall
| bladder to drain her
| bile on a daily basis. Last month, we ended up in the
| hospital with her for
| 17 days and had a surgery, because the tube caused an
| infection of Staph in
| her gall bladder. Before she had been admitted, I started to
| notice her
| bile getting thick, and cloudy, with some white floaties in it.
|
| Well, a few days ago, her bile got thick again.and
| the floaties came
| back. I decided to put 10cc's of CS (approx 5ppm made with battery
| generator) directly into her tubedirectly into her gall
| bladder. I did
| this for 2 days, and the thickness and floaties
| disappeared. Now it is 3
| days later, and there are floaties again. I flushed the
| tube again this
| morning with 10cc's of 5ppm CS.
|
| My questions are these.
|
| ~Does anyone have a theory of how long I should administer
| the CS to have
| complete relief of the infection? I would like to use it as
| minimally as
| possible..Is it sufficient to only use it until the bile
| is clear again?
|
| ~ Bile is made of hundreds of different
| substances..many of which
| are referred to as bile salts. Is there a theoretical risk
| of the bile
| salts combining with the CS and causing argyria?
|
| Please know..this gall bladder tube is the only thing that
| is
| keeping my daughter alive right now. The doctors don't have any
| other
| option. If it keeps getting infected they will have to
| remove it. I don't
| want that. I would rather have her alive and gray. God
| knows that the
| drugs they have her on can cause MUCH worse problems than
| changing color.
|
| Thank you so much for your input. I am open to any advice
| you can give, or
| any questions you may have.
| Thank you again,
| God Bless,
| Christiane

AR Anyone have an opinion?

By inhaler, do you mean one of those small, pressurized, pocket
sized things that they use to deliver prescription drugs in? If so,
I'll tell you why it is a BAD idea.

First off, the drugs delivered by that method are, contrary to wide
belief, a dry solid, and not a liquid. The liquid one hears when you
shake one of those things is the refigerant inside that they use for a
propellant. The refrigerant quickly flashes into a gas, and expands,
which carries the microfine crystalline drug along with it. Which
leads to the second reason why they are a bad idea. The refrigerant.
When they used R-12, the stuff wasn't so bad. But, now they have new
ozone friendly refrigerants that they use. The production of these
new refrigerants does more damage to the environment than you can
even imagine. Not to mention the fact that R-134a, the new refigerant
of choice to replace R-12, causes testicular tumors in lab animals. Or
the fact that it FAILED the inhalation toxicity testing conducted at
Wright-Patterson Air Force base.

Aside from all of this, the inhaler doesn't atomize, or nebulize,
the stuff leaving the can. In order to get a liquid into the lungs,
you will need to have a particle size of at most 8 microns. Anything
larger will stick in the throat and larynx. Ideally, the particle size
should be 5 microns or less to reach the air sacs. Otherwise, a lot of
it is deposited along the bronchial tubes. And with a mist this fine,
it does take a while to actually nebulize say 5 milliliters.

Of course, none of this even begins to address the equipment one would
need to charge and pressurize the inhaler. Or the strange reactions
that would take place inside of an aluminum vessel, charged with CS,
and pressurized with a hydroflourocarbon. And no, you can't just
pressurize one with air. If you did, you MIGHT get one shot out of it
before the pressure had fallen to an unusable level.

  Hi Donna ~

CS may surely work, as it is supposed to kill fungus. As suggested earlier,
internal doses would help as well as the external.
Just put some CS into their non-metal waterers.

ACV (apple cider vinegar) eliminated athletes foot my son had for over a
year. We tried sprays, creams, lotions,
powdersgeeze, nothing worked. After his evening shower, I made him apply
ACV to both his dried feet and allow it to dry - just
poured straight. He did this for 3 nights in a row and the athletes foot
fungus has NEVER returned. It's been years now and it was
awful on both feet! ACV can be given internally as well.

Two 18V 26 mA
bulbs,
#7220 in series would work well for a 36 V system.

You could obtain 3 X 12V low mA bulbs and tie the legs
 together (three
legs joined together X 2) but whether they would light at the 8mA
that you would be using, I don't know.

 John

Re: CSCS in the gall bladder??

2001-11-10 Thread Tony Moody
Hullo Christiane and John,

My opinion, based on reading and personal experience is that the risk
of getting argyria form CS is so small as to be insignificant, even if
massive doses are taken.
You are introducing 10cc and it is having a noticible beneficial
effect. I would carry on with that and maybe even dose a few times a
day. I would also give CS as a good food several times a day, again
10cc three or four per day would be a good start. This should help to
clean her system. Obviously monitor the progress; if it seems too
strong then back off to half or less, if its seems to be working
sufficiently then carry on until she is really well. If it is working
but could be better, then increase the dosage dosage slowly. Spraying
or soaking with CS around the tube entry wound would also help.

I have found that minute amounts of H2O2 have a powerful effect. 1 or
2 drops of 6% in 250cc (8oz) CS. This seems to help the CS do its
work. I would be very cautious about putting this down the gallbladder
tube. Start with say 1cc. But dring it seems to be very helpful.
Regards,
Tony

RE: CSCS in the gall bladder??

2001-11-10 Thread I Anderson

Ivan.

Subject: CSCS in the gall bladder??

 Hello All,
I know that this is a question that no one has any concrete
 experience with,
but I know that some of you may have some educated opinions
 on the risks,
or lack there of.of putting CS directly
 into the gall
 bladder.

My 5 year old daughter has a tube coming from her gall
 bladder to drain her
bile on a daily basis. Last month, we ended up in the
 hospital with her for
17 days and had a surgery, because the tube caused an
 infection of Staph in
her gall bladder. Before she had been admitted, I started to
 notice her
bile getting thick, and cloudy, with some white floaties in it.

Well, a few days ago, her bile got thick again.and
 the floaties came
back. I decided to put 10cc's of CS (approx 5ppm made with battery
generator) directly into her tubedirectly into her gall
 bladder. I did
this for 2 days, and the thickness and floaties
 disappeared. Now it is 3
days later, and there are floaties again. I flushed the
 tube again this
morning with 10cc's of 5ppm CS.

 My questions are these.

~Does anyone have a theory of how long I should administer
 the CS to have
complete relief of the infection? I would like to use it as
 minimally as
possible..Is it sufficient to only use it until the bile
 is clear again?

~ Bile is made of hundreds of different
 substances..many of which
are referred to as bile salts. Is there a theoretical risk
 of the bile
salts combining with the CS and causing argyria?

Please know..this gall bladder tube is the only thing that
is
keeping my daughter alive right now. The doctors don't have any
other
option. If it keeps getting infected they will have to
 remove it. I don't
want that. I would rather have her alive and gray. God
 knows that the
drugs they have her on can cause MUCH worse problems than
 changing color.

Thank you so much for your input. I am open to any advice
 you can give, or
 any questions you may have.
 Thank you again,
 God Bless,
 Christiane
