dum dum dum... (Organ music, with lots of tremolo!)

The reason for my original post was to encourage you all to keep the
more speculative stuff short, or move it to the OT list.

The fact is, I'm not so many years removed from my pre-awakened state
that I've forgotten how *I* would have reacted to chemtrails, pyramids,
orgone or the persecution of Tesla, if early on I had stumbled into a
forum like this looking for information about colloidal silver.

When deciding about topics I always visualize somebody arriving,
relatively new to the net, a bit nervous about this alternative
medicine stuff, and ultimately skeptical about anything that's not been
blessed by coverage on the evening news.

Do we want to help them or scare them away?

What we have here is a balancing act. I don't want to stop everybody
from enjoying the discussion, but for the sake of the mission we have
to be sure that the crazy sounding stuff stays to a small-ish
fraction of the content. That way folks will see that there *is*
worthwhile information to be found here despite the handful of
crackpots and lunatics who believe in all that other junk...

In time, of course, they'll begin to realize that we're practically
*all* crackpots and loonies by those standards -- and hopefully they'll
balance that against the solid things they've learned about CS and
maybe, just maybe, start to re-examine their assumptions about what
they think is real.

As I see it, CS is an easy first step on the road to waking up. It
works, it's easy and cheap (or should be anyway), and it can be
explained in pretty conventional scientific terms. It'll *also* get
them rubbing elbows with all of us kooks who've decided to stop
believing everything our doctors say and taken personal responsibility
for our health.

Can you imagine a better way to get through to people?

Let me reassure you, Bill, that I include myself firmly in the ranks of
that same lunatic fringe whenever I make such a comment. Like so many
of you here, I've come a *long* way in what I will admit to the realm
of possibility, since coming aboard the internet a dozen or so years
ago. Thus, even if I poke a little fun at us, it's with respect and
fondness.

Peace.

Be well,

Mike D.

Yesterday I was offered a microwave with a dead magnatron and now I'm
wondering if there is anyone out there using one of these machines and if so
how did they set it up?

CS[List Owner] Possible system outage...

2004-06-10 Thread M. G. Devour
Hi folks!

Just wanted to alert you all to the possibility of some interruption of
list operations that may take place Friday night and through the
weekend at irregular intervals.

Robert at Eskimo North is preparing to move a substantial part of
Eskimo's server farm from headquarters to a co-location facility.
During the move most services will be down, including e-mail operations
like the Silver List.

The upshot should be improved bandwidth and reduced latency. The likely
accompaniment will probably be erratic problems for a day or two until
he gets things settled down again. grin

So if a message you send doesn't show up within a few minutes, it'd be
a good idea to wait a couple of hours and try again. In any case, don't
worry if the list disappears for a bit. It'll be back.

Be well,

Mike D.

CSTHAT Tv show

2004-06-10 Thread John Rigby

Hi folks,
I think this is just the first shot in the CODEX final assault on us.
A bit like the mysterious events leading up to the US and Oz savage assault
on the right to bear arms - SUDDENLY lots of events involving mass
shootings right before the media wave and the laws were put up for
passage..

Sigh, next thing will be all the 12 y.o. schoolgirls getting pregnant from
sniffing DMSO

At least we can take little comfort from the fact that zero in on the most
dangerous - TO THEM - things, like herbs which to us is a good
recommendation - in fact - THAT's how I heard about CS!! :-)
It is illegal here in Oz to say ANYTHING about it in the Health Food
Stores, already.

allergic to Poison Ivy, Oak or Sumac. But man-oh-man I
ever seen people who are!

This is the fastest cheapest thing I've ever seen for
poison ivy: TEA TREE OIL! It works because it is a
powerful solvent and dissolves the alkaloids.

An employee of mine got it so bad last year he was
going to be out of work for days. He was bleeding on
his legs from scratching, even after all the usual
treatments. TTO stopped it all in 5 minutes. In 18
hours he was well on the mend. It was all gone in 3
days.

Downside: The smell, extremely aromatic, and tends to
get almost stinking after a few hours. Alternate with
DMSO after a few hours, and it's not as bad.

There are many links in the links section as well as a searchable

I found Yarrow to be the most effective, as a poltice only needed to
apply it once for 20 minutes and the blisters were gone, but they did
leave scars as they were from cutting a Mother Vine from the fence in
winter (no leaves to ID the plant).

Daddybob,
Lavender essential oil might do the same thing, with less
objectionable odor. I personally cannot stand the smell of Tea Tree
oil, it is really unbearable to me, though many people don't seem to
mind it. Lavender oil is miraculous for treating any kind of burn, too,
and insect bites and stings.

CSIndustrial CS - ionic silver

2004-06-10 Thread Dean Miller
From:
http://www.manilatimes.net/national/2004/jun/05/yehey/life/20040605lif1.html

A silver lining in home appliances

THAT old chestnut about silver being a potent weapon against monsters
has just received a 21st Century update.

Samsung’s new line of home appliances uses nano-sized silver
ions—positively charged silver particles 75,000 times smaller than the
width of a human hair—to zap disease-causing molds, germs and
bacteria. Not only does the nano size (nanotechnology deals with
atomic particles measured in billionths of a meter) allow the silver
ions to easily penetrate the cells of microorganisms, but the positive
charge increases surface area and draws negatively charged elements
toward them to greater effect.

This “Silver Nano” technology is available in four Samsung’s home
appliances launched last week: the HA-1435A washing machine, the
AS-24S6GB air conditioner, and two side-by-side refrigerators, namely
the stainless steel RS-23JGRS and the mirror finish RS-21DLMR.

The nano-sized silver ions are used to coat refrigerator interiors,
air-conditioner filters and washing machine tubs. The silver coating
keeps food fresh 15 days longer than average and makes the
refrigerator resistant to odor-causing bacteria. Air-conditioner
filters treated with silver ions stop the growth of fungi and bacteria
inside the air-conditioner, as well as reduce the presence of bacteria
in the air within five minutes of operation. In washing machine tubs,
meanwhile, the silver ion coating kills bacteria and fungi in soiled
laundry.

The silver-ion technology is the product of an extensive three-year
study in Korea involving a team of 30 electronic experts and over $10
million invested in research and development. [They could have asked
us and saved $10 million. :) ]

The antibiotic and disinfectant properties of silver have long been
documented by modern science. Silver has been found to be toxic to
pathogens yet harmless to humans, food and fabrics. NASA, as well as
most major airlines, uses silver filters to guard against water-borne
diseases.

RE: CShives

2004-06-10 Thread James Holmes
If you can take a thorough bath or shower within 3-4 hours of exposure, even
sensitive people will usually have no reaction to poison oak or ivy. I once
lived at a hot springs that was quite remote in the mountains. We had a
phone wire that would be overgrown and needed to have the brush around it
cleared. We would work directly in grandfather sized poison oak. The plant
climbed up trees, and some were 4 inches in diameter at the base. We threw
our clothes directly in the washer without delay, and jumped into the pools;
no reaction.
