I use CS everyday - I was just so appalled by a response elsewhere to my suggestion that they use CS that I posted it here - my next step was to suggest to the person who wanted the info that they join this list to learn more - no one has quoted the FDA I was just horrified at the response sharing my horror of the unconverted to the converted. No biggie. Jane Isn't quoting FDA grounds for getting booted of off the list? Why is someone on the silverlist when they don't think it's safe or anyone to use. Re: CSDMSO cure for sensitive teeth Abscess
To be honest, I have no clue what substance my lens were made out of. The surgeries were done in 1998/1999 so whatever was prevalent back then is what was used. The surgeries were done at a top eye surgical facility in Richmond, Va. so they would have used the material that was commonly available back then, I assume. I couldn't find a definitive answer. I was given a little card for each eye that states that I have implanted lenses and also gives details of the size of lens, the mfr, and says what model they are, even the power of the lenses, and each one has a serial number. CSRest in Peace, Starshar
After a long illness, our beloved Starshar, Sharon Morrissey of West Chester, Pennsylvania, has passed. Her sister told me that she passed peacefully on Tuesday. For several years now she has passed on a great deal of her saved medical knowledge to me and it has often been of great benefit. She had wrestled increasingly with pain for a long time and everything she tried seemed to cause a reaction that her wracked body could no longer tolerate. A few months ago she got the news that she had some kind of pervasive cancer. She chose only palliative care. I will only say that there were other reasons that she decided not to fight. She had fought all she could. Besides, she had an insatiable curiosity about all matters spiritual and the other side; not morbidly so, but ready to see for herself. While I will rage against the dying of the light, it's not that way for everyone and I accept that. From the first of her revelation to myself and a few others of her condition and wishes for a peaceful end to her journey, I decided to be supportive of her no matter what. I will miss her, no matter that I never physically met her or even spoke directly with her. Sometimes printed words are enough and hers certainly were. Jane - Original Message - From: Penny To: oils_herbs_...@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, February 16, 2012 5:32 AM Subject: [oils_herbs_etc] Colloidal silver, was laryngitis , need help Hi Everyone, Simply type in 'Colloidal Silver dangers' in any search engine and you will get plenty of legimate websites with FDA research results stating the unsafe or side effects of using colloidal silver supplements. I just did a brief search and came up with several sites explaining the dangerous side of effects of using colloidal silver. Ingesting silver is toxic and the damage done is not reversable. There are many MLM companies saying it is safe to use colloidal silver but MLM companies, as we all know, have a lot of hype to sell products. On the other hand essential oils when used in proper amounts by diffusing them, inhaling them or as a massage oil or lotion in the proper percentages will help with many health concerns. Your body doesn't store essential oils in the body, it eliminates them usually within a few hours. Please note: Do not ingest essential oils unless they are prescribed by a licensed medical practioner. You do not ingest essential oils for health concerns - in the USA - if you are an aromatherapist - you know that the FDA rules do not allow us to tell folks to ingest. We can have you Gargle a diluted warm water solution with a drop or two of essential oils added but you would 'spit' it out and not swallow it. Please note that Sweet Birch and Wintergreen are not true essential oils and as such will accumulate in the liver. They contain methyl salicylate and it is widely known that salicylates are toxic and need to be used with caution. The best suggestion for Laryngitis is still to inhale essential oils that reduce inflammation such as the Chamomiles or even Eucalyptus oils. See my previous post of an article written with suggestions to help in particular for laryngitis. I'm sure there are a few herbalists on this list that may know of polstices or balms that can be used on the throat region to help with the inflammation also. Re: CSSwallowed CS Down Wrong Tube
Hi Joy, Thanks very much for asking the question. My essay below has little to do with CS but plenty with what you are going through , perhaps. I have a friend who, when I met her, was seriously afflicted with globus hystericus. At the time, round about 1992, i was deep into studying various energy healing methods. I spoke to her a few days and the GH is still gone. Now I do not remember exactly what transpired then but that would have been centred on the simple idea that she was not able to express her thoughts, for whatever reason. So may i suggest that you do something like this. Put your hands on your upper chest or on shoulders or on front of throat and let them lie there while you breathe as well as you can, for a few breaths. Pay attention to what your throat wants to tell you, what your chest/lungs want to tell you and what your head wants to tell you. hear their stories, which may conflict with each other. Also keep on telling 'them' that they are safe now. Joy is safe now, we are safe now, she is safe now. If a whole lot of emotion comes up then just purse your lips and blow a thin stream of air out , like a long silent whistle; to express yourself. By doing this you should be able to manage letting out the heavy emotions without being overwhelmed by them. Keep on breathing and blowing. If the emotions do feel as if they are going to overwhelm you; then swallow them to be done another time. I have a bunch more of this sort of self help stuff so please let me know if you need it. OK, Tony On 16 Feb 2012 at 8:02, 2 Words Production wrote about : Subject : CSSwallowed CS Down Wrong Tube A few weeks ago I was on the bus heading home and decided to take a small sip of CS that someone had prepared. It was just a teaspoon or so but when I swallowed it went down the wrong tube and I started coughing and clearing my throat for about a good 10 minutes or so. Long story short fastforwarding now to present time my throat is still messed up. Throughout this time I've been hoarse, some coughing, nose is running and basically I feel like there's something still *stuck* there. There is some phlegm that comes up if I clear my throat. Went to an Ear, Nose and Throat guy who examined the throat passage with an endoscope and pronounced that he didn't see anything. Well, I know what I feel and sound like - and this just confirms what I already think about doctors. I tried gargling, doing flips with my inverted table, doing lymph tapping, neck and throat exercises - to no avail. As a side note from time to time before this happened I would have some kind of spasm in my throat area that would only be alleviated with my manually compressing the area and returning the ligament to its place. Your thoughts on how to clear this up? Is the CS still *sitting* somewhere in a pocket of my throat? Wouldn't it be absorbed by now? Funny you should mention those little cards. When you asked the question as to what material my lens were made out of, I looked all over for my cards before answering you. I can still see them in my mind's eye and could have sworn they were stuck back in my wallet somewhere but I couldn't find them. I don't know if I have stuck them somewhere else or.. finally got rid of them. I don't think I would do that so... I have them tucked away somewhere, I guess. I couldn't remember whether it mentioned what material the lens is made out of or what and I tried to find out what material was in common usage back 15 yrs ago and had no luck. I will keep on looking. Maybe in my jewelry box?? Just don't know. Life was so simple when I first got married. We had no junk back then..lol.. Amazing how much 'stuff' we accummulate over the years, right?
