I might suggest wheat grass juice for healing your poor intestines. Growing it yourself can be very cheap and not very difficult.

Have been steering clear of wheat, rye and barley due to possible celiac . Have had negative tests, but taken only after I had been on the diet for 8 months or so. I may eventually give this a try, too, as I am experimenting. Thanks. Thanks, Marshalee, Will put in my folder as a route to try. Am presently working with juicing , H202 (3, not 30). Am getting a little worried about the H202 after reading some information from my son. Have been soaking my juicing veggies in it as prescribed on various sites. Also using Flax oil with 8% lignans. Tried 15%, think that was too strong. Hope to get going with CS next on the list. Thanks for your input. My feeling about surgury is that it will just make more adhesions, and the surguries will have to be done possibly over and over again at ever shortening intervals. Hi Ms Gertrude, Thank you for becoming a part of this wonderful forum with so many other helpful Expert people that are so generous with their excellent information! DMSO is short for Dimethyl Sulfoxide and our bodies make it: DMSO2 is also MSM (MethylSulfonylMethane) and when God made you, He placed some MSM in every body cell! As the body needs DMSO or MSM, it converts one into the needed one for the proper body use. There is a Site that one of our Site members made that you can search for; I believe it's DMSO.com. Please read my Site and let me know if I can be of help. On my blogspot, I list 3 pages of FREE CS uses and 1 page of my CS Favorites that I believe you'll enjoy. You might have him tested to see if he has giardia, or parasites of some kind. It is estimated that parasites are a major factor in IBS. A good book to read about parasites is Guess What Came to Dinner by Ann Louise Gittleman. She states in the book that giardia can cause both lactose and gluten intolerances. It is also common for it to run in families, as they are exposed to the same environmental factors. Pat, There's a very high possibility that he could have celiac disease with these symptoms. My sister suffered for years with IBS. I finally talked her into going gluten free which she did for a month, then complained to me that it wasn't helping. That same day she ran into an old friend at the health food store and was advised to continue wheat/gluten free diet and add probiotics and one garlic capsule a day. Within 3 days her symptoms completely cleared up. She continued this for 3 more months, then took a vacation to Ireland. She told me in advance there was no way she was staying gluten free with the breads in Ireland. After she was there for 3 days she stopped into an internet cafe, and sent me just this message, It's the wheat--oh boy, is it ever the wheat! She stays on a gluten free regimen *most* of the time, but if she falls off the gluten wagon she pays almost an instant price with the return of IBS. Here are a few sites you could peruse: http://www.celiac.com/index.html http://www.aafp.org/afp/980301ap/pruessn.html http://donwiss.com/ My best healing wishes to your son, Sharon -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. UNless your friends ibs was related to a bacterial infection, I would not use anitbiotics to treat this type of malady. Assuming that it is infectious in nature, there are alot of natural herbal treatments for stomach bacteria(also probiotics). I would recommend eliminating wheat and dairy from the diet also to see if this helps. Candida can also be the culprit in which case, antibiotics would only further aggravate. Cipro is in my opinion a very dangerous drug. I have taken it several times and the reactions were worse every time. It affected my nervous system (temporarily) and I felt like my skin became so hot, that I felt like someone was ironing me. It was terrible. It is very important to avoid caffiene when taking cipro because caffeine doesnt break down in your system and can build up.MOst doctors wont tell you this(probably becaue they are unaware if it like many side effects that medications can cause). Anyone who is considering taking cipro should do a thorough search on the side effects. It can cause permanant tendon damage that will often times occur as long as six months later when you dont make the connection to the drug. __ Yahoo! Mail Mobile Take Yahoo! Mail with you!
