With much more of life being lived indoors and dermatologists warning people to stay out of the sun and to use sunscreen when they don't, it wouldn't be surprising that Vitamin D levels are lower in the general population now than they were historically. Getting one's 25 OH-D levels checked eliminates speculation and conspiracy concerns. See? Life is simply perfect in its imperfection. It just started raining again here, and is going to be 38 degrees. Because of the wind it will "feel like 35." We have been soaked much of the last few months Being on the Eastern edge of the continent, we get everything. The Big Pond seems to do something with the moisture and temperature change. We also dom't lose power often even when inland Maine is iced in. Our standing joke is, the only time we lose power is when a drunk runs into a pole. (Pretty much true!) If I could, I would package some of our rain for you. Perhaps I could dehydrate it, send it in a box, and you could rehydrate as you need it? JDM BTW. This is still the place I want to live! -Original Message- From: Neville Munn [mailto:one.red...@hotmail.com] Sent: Friday, December 07, 2012 7:37 PM To: silver-list@eskimo.com Subject: RE: CS>VITAMIN D DEFFICIENCY and the Great State of Maine Gee, I hope nobody misunderstands me here and starts to think I'm attacking anyone, this is just how I see things. I live in TX and we have plenty of sun...however, I have a thyroid disease and that interferes with the up take of Vit D. which has made clacium to not be properly assimilated, so now I also have bone issues etc, etc. There more to it than standing in the sun.
