Faith, there are several excellent sites for extensive information about the
Emotional Freedom Technique. Dr Mercola has an article about it, and the other
name to look for is Gary Craig. http://www.emofree.com It is also known as
the tapping technique.
  Rowena

Brooks Bradley evidently mentioned something about an EFT technique (?)
used
successfully for insomnia. Does anyone know amnything about this, and if
so
could it please be posted again? thank you. Faith G.

not EMF. EMF refers to electro-magnetic frequency. EFT is the synonym for
the Emotional Freedom Technique created by Gary Craig; so I just wanted to
clear up any confusion that might come from that. I am an EFT Advanced

Thanks, Terry.  I will check into the floppy disk thing.  Will also check with my sons who have fancier equipment than the library or school.  Maybe if I send them the url , they will be able to download it for me.  Maybe even make one!  I do have an old computer at home the still uses the small floppy disk,  They aren't exactly floppy like the original ones we used to use at school, but I think they are still called floppy. These are small and hard.  Thanks again, Ruth.

Nenah,  I wonder if the message I received regarding Eft instructions might have been from Mike Devour? or from Terry?  Terry did send the instructions, but they were on an attachment that I couldn't bring up on the library or school computer. Re: CS>EFT links

2005-05-30 Thread Rowena
I just attended a kind of introductory workshop on EFT. The handout listed
the web address

www.tapintoheaven.com
The facilitator highly recommended the book "The Power of Now', and this was
enthusiastically supported by some of the audience. (The Power of Now",
Eckhart Tolle 1999).

He uses Gary Craig's EFT manual (www.emofree.com)
His own web site is www.integrative-clearing.com.au - his name is Peter
Graham.

Another website mentioned in the handout is www.theamt.com

In the little country town where I live a local GP is having good success
with her depression patients using EFT. She helped my son in three sessions
after he had suffered some years of depression. He's doing well now. And
she only used one of the tapping points, and I don't think she used the
affirmations - I understand he just had to state what the problem was.

Good wishes
Rowena

Re: CS>EFT

2005-04-27 Thread Grace1way
Hi people:

I noticed this thread of conversation about EFT. I use this and similar
methods in my psychology practice. Another similar emotional release technique
which is available to lay persons can be found in the book THE SEDONA METHOD by
Hale Dwoskin. This covers the basic method of emotional release and hundreds
of pages on how to use it. The book doesn't focus as much on release of
physical conditions as does EFT, however. A close cousin to the above would be
The
Release Technique, which uses the same system of emotional release, but with
tapes and workbooks designed to facilitated enlightenment through emotional
release. The two techniques are virtually identical, with only the focus being
different. Both stem from Lester Levinson, who, using a similar technique,
healed himself from a "fatal" heart condition at 42, became enlightened, and
then
stayed another 42 years to help the rest of us move forward. You could use
any of the emotional release techniques, for any purpose you might choose!
It's
a question of what you want to accomplish with one of the methods, and just
how far do you want to go with it!

These emotional release techniques seem to work in similar ways, with similar
results. Another one I use is EMDR. I haven't met anyone who knows how
these techniques work, but with the amazing results--who cares? In my
practice, I
have found that most physical ailments disappear once the underlying negative
emotion which is stored (repressed) in the body is released. We tend to
think we human beings are minds controlled by our bodies, but from my
experience,
exactly the reverse is true!

As an avid CS user and group member for the past few years I stumbled
onto EFT after having a severe panic attack ( caused by the loss of my
second job) which was so bad I wound up in the hospital thinking I was
having a heart attack. Thank God my heart is fine after all the tests. The
panic/anxiety attack was so bad I wanted to die. After I got home from the
hospital I stumbled onto EFT while surfing through the curezone.com forums
and downloaded the free EFT manual from the Emofree.com site. I read through
the manual and within a couple of hours was using the meridian tapping
method for panic/anxiety. I felt a great deal of relief and the attacks
subsided and I'm sleeping better too.
I have since through EFT, helped several friends reduce pain and
suffering from carpal tunnel, fibromyalgia, arthritis, sinus congestion,
dizziness, asthma, neck and shoulder pain, liver/gallbladder pain, chest
pain, performance anxiety, depression, and headaches.
I am simply overwhelmed at the number of ailments both physical and mental
that respond to this simple therapy that is both free and painless. I
strongly recommend that all list members download this manual from emofree
com and try using the technique for whatever you are suffering from. I don't
quite understand how it works but I know that it WORKS! It will one of the
best investments of an hour or two of your time you will ever make.

Re: CS>EFT is amazing.....

2005-04-24 Thread Denise Rollheiser
Thank you for this information, Steve. I have just started therapy for
some issues that I need to deal with and my therapist uses EFT. I have
found it to be a wonderful godsend for me. After my initial session, I was
so much more relaxed and at ease with life that - well - it was amazing.

It is amazing (and somewhat surprising to a newbie) how much of life's
troubles could be so easily dealt with by things such as CS and EFT.

For me, not only do I use CS personally but I also treat dog injuries with
it. My golden retriever lad (20 m/o male) got into a scrap yesterday
afternoon with a playmate of his (a 2 y/o male american staffordshire
terrier). It was 'boy horny-mones' that caused the scrap.

Deaego (my golden) ended up with a puncture wound on his nosebled like
crazy but after a dose of arnica for him, a dose of rescue remedy to calm MY
nerves, and some liberal application of CS a couple of times last night and
again this morning...I am happy to report that there is a tiny scab at the
puncture site, his nose is cool and moist and he shows no ill-effects of his
'adventure' of yesterday.

We are just starting dog show circuits for this yearI am putting a
bottle of CS in my tack box to take with me...

2005-04-23 Thread scl...@netzero.net

As an avid CS user and group member for the past few years I stumbled onto
EFT after having a severe panic attack ( caused by the loss of my second job)
which was so bad I wound up in the hospital thinking I was having a heart
attack. Thank God my heart is fine after all the tests. The panic/anxiety
attack was so bad I wanted to die. After I got home from the hospital I
stumbled onto EFT while surfing through the curezone.com forums and downloaded
the free EFT manual from the Emofree.com site. I read through the manual and
within a couple of hours was using the meridian tapping method for
panic/anxiety. I felt a great deal of relief and the attacks subsided and I'm
sleeping better too.
I have since through EFT, helped several friends reduce pain and suffering
from carpal tunnel, fibromyalgia, arthritis, sinus congestion, dizziness,
asthma, neck and shoulder pain, liver/gallbladder pain, chest pain, performance
anxiety, depression, and headaches.
I am simply overwhelmed at the number of ailments both physical and mental
that respond to this simple therapy that is both free and painless. I strongly
recommend that all list members download this manual from emofree.com and try
using the technique for whatever you are suffering from. I don't quite
understand how it works but I know that it WORKS! It will one of the best
investments of an hour or two of your time you will ever make.

I started noticing a long time ago that some folks did
not respond to nutrition, no matter what they did.
Then, after I received training to become a counselor,
I made the connection between unresolved emotional
issues and poor health. I frequently see folks come in
for testing whom I know right away will not experience
improvement, no matter how many supplements they take
or what kind of diet they follow. Women who have
sexual abuse in their past, and still carry the
corrosive bitterness about it. Men who are driven by
various emotional woundings, physical abuse, etc.

A client of mine, an older woman, called me to ask if
I would test her grand daughter. Her grand daughter
had stopped attending classes at college, and cried
continually as long as she was conscious. She didnt
know why she cried so much. I was dubious about the
effectiveness of diet and nutrition. After I tested
her, it was plain that her biochemistry was quite
unbalanced, but I offered to pursue a therapy using
EFT, if they were interested. (I had read the manual,
and had used it on myself with amazing results, but
never someone else.) She didnt seem too interested.

A week after I tested the young woman, the grandmother
called again to ask if I could try that counseling
stuff. I explained that it wasnt counseling, but we
made an appointment that Saturday. The grandmother and
her grand daughter came in for the appointment, and
the grandmother said, Ill be back in an hour. She
left.

The young woman sat there, crying, while I explained
the principles behind EFT. I then had her tap herself
while repeating after me, I completely and totally
love and accept myself. After one or two sessions of
tapping on the nine points, the woman stopped crying.

We met each Saturday morning for five weeks. By the
end of the fifth session, she was ready to go back to
school, had a bounce in her step, and told me, I now
have the tools for coping with whatever life may throw
at me. She was absolutely radiant, and I was
absolutely amazed.

During the tapping sessions we did, things came up.
She remembered being raped. She got in touch with her
anger at her father for leaving (divorce) and her
mother for driving her father away. She relinquished
her anger at them and forgave them. Every week she was
brighter and happier than the week before.

At one point, I said, I think you need to forgive
God. She said, Forgive God? I never thought of
that. I said, If anyone could have stopped those
things from happening, it was God. She said, I think
youre right, and she told God she forgave Him and
understood He actually had her best in mind.

Ive come to believe that diet and nutrition alone
will have little benefit if a person is full of anger,
bitterness, fear, self-hatred, etc.

Holistic health (Whole-istic) means resolving
imbalances on every level, so I utilize diet,
nutrition, CS, H2O2, Magnetic and electrical healing
devices, EFT, prayer, faith, always learning and
looking for what may help others.

Terry Chamberlin

Your post struck a very resonant chord for me. I think much of what you
say is true about unresolved emotional issues/trumas and seeking
correction only through the diet. You have heal all levels of the
mind-body to feel health and true happiness.

On that note I wanted to say that when I do EFT it is not always
possible to tap so I just visualize tapping. It works for me. I also
"programmed" myself to know how to "run tapping" so all I have to say is
the key words. I prefer to "see" each point but even using these key
words works.

Re: CS>EFT to Lori & everyone else

2001-12-16 Thread Nina Silver
Quitting smoking can be difficult, from what I've heard. Here's a suggestion
for the emotional/psychological/addictive aspects.

I find that sometimes, despite my best intentions and positive outlook, my
body sometimes lags behind my mental and even emotional processes. There is
a bodymind system called the Emotional Freedom Technique that intercepts
negative reactions in the body, and it's free. After thousands of dollars in
learning various techniques, this engineer named Gary Craig figured out an
extremely simple way to eliminate PTSD, physical illnesses, emotional
blocks, etc.

The gist of the technique is that when we are negatively affected by
physical or emotional trauma, the meridians of the body get electrically
short-circuited. Gary figured out a way to re-connect the energetic
pathways, and in so doing restore the system to its integrity BEFORE the
trauma occurred. I use the word "trauma" very loosely here, to indicate
ANYTHING that short-circuits the meridian integrity. It can be a wartime
experience, sexual abuse, an illness, or the million and one thoughts and
fears that plague us and prevent us from living to our full potential.

The technique involves repeating certain phrases tailored to one's
particular situation, while at the same time tapping certain meridian points
on the body and in a few instances humming and counting. Gary is aware that
this may sound quite hokey to some, and addresses people's fears and doubts
every step of the way throughout the process. The manual is about 80 pages
long. Once you learn the order of tapping and where to tap -- it took me
only about an hour and a half -- you have it for life.

Gary's manual is FREE FOR THE DOWNLOADING on the following URL address:
http://www.emofree.com/freestuff.htm If you can't access it this way, go to
the general website at http://www.emofree.com/ , scroll to the bottom and
click on "FREE STUFF" and get the manual that way.

The manual is simple and direct, and easy to read. Gary is giving it away
because he wants to get this healing modality out to as many people as
possible. He does sell videotapes of the advanced technique, but it's not
necessary to buy them in order to do preliminary work.

This is a rather amazing and quick method of healing. Some things get clear
immediately; other things need more time. But it's definitely worth a try. I
recommend the EFT as a complement to any physical condition, especially if
it's chronic or difficult.
