Re: Get rid of your flip phone and get current on maya!
wow.. I'm going to call sideFX now and ask them to cancel my houdini indie, cause after that video, I'm convinced there is no other future than the brightness that is maya!! Dear Autodesk, please create a paypal account so I can just randomly give you my money for being awesome. on a side note: Waking up on the couch at work is common for maya users.

Ha Ha Ha! Where to begin? Its pretty laughable. All the predictable analogies come to mind. Dad dancing is one of them. In general i feel it's ok, make me laugh a little; but i think Softimage deserves more love in a comic like this, and be more direct like the hitler's videos about adquisition and stuff like that. Anyway thanks for sharing, but Softimage is more alive than people usually think. :) On Fri, Jul 10, 2015 at 3:31 PM, Ponthieux, Joseph G. Very funny...not so sure Softimage should of been illustrated with a DeLorean though. LOL. Was a cool looking car but ultimately a piece of crap. Have a friend who had one. It weighed a million pounds, leaked like crazy due to the doors and the engine was way under powered. Butif we're talking the one from Back to the Future well thenrock on! RE: The Untimely Death of Softimage -the comic
Back in the 80s I saw a new DeLorean showcased on the local GM lot. It’s hard to describe how impressive and radical it was sitting next to a Chevrolet of that era. In hindsight its just another car that gets old. It wouldn’t muster near as much attention today design-wise but at the time it was a spacecraft next to everything else. It was like something out of a comic book. One of those things where you just had to be there. In that vein, at least in terms of being way ahead of its time in regards to design, I think the point was well made. -- Joey Ponthieux __ Opinions stated here-in are strictly those of the author and do not represent the opinions of NASA or any other party. Re: Get rid of your flip phone and get current on maya!
Looking at it from the old side of subscription, permant license and maintenance updates while walking down Schlesische Straße towards the Pie Shop in Falkensteinstraß in Berlin, maybe times change? Their Pie is really good. British style pie, meat, mashed potatoes, gravy. Everybody around me looks like in that Autodesk advertisement. O.k. we have fashion week here in BRLN atm, but really, it´s hard to tell a 40+ from a teensomething. I actually like that they do help with the math, 5 bucks a day but asking 125 bucks/per hour is what everyone should do. Seriously. Next time I need a license, I will not hesitate to DEFINITELY NOT commit into anything as ridiculous as that Ultimate bundle that has set me back thousands of bucks just to find out that Mudbox is now available for a tenner, Softimage is gone and neither Motionbuilder or 3DSMax I have time to open. Sketchbook Pro I like, thought. Not in the bundle... Fuzz trouble
Has anyone encountered crashes when using fuzz when trying to unhide the hair? I cant seem to have it unhidden at all, i tried setting density and segments to 1/1 but still every time i try to view it in the viewport, bang, its all gone. This is strange because last night i was working on it with a density of 50 and 4 segments, and all was fine, but today i cant get to my work... Its all a bit frustrating really, but im not sure where to take it from here.
