from what I read on si-community.com looks like xsibase.com has quietly closed down forever, this time.

No backups?! :( In some way this serves as a reminder for others to backup their stuff, their databases, communities, files. Hard drives fail often. Servers get hacked or die. Be ready. Maybe one of the mods can tell what's going on. I don't think people don't care, it's the way the site is built that seems to be the problem. It would be nice to have it up and running again. Re: XSIBase safe?
Less that people don't care, more that there isn't much they can do. The site is crippled by a virus / malware and only a few people have access to fix it. Additionally to prevent further infestation, the software needs to be updated. This is problematic as the site is highly customized on a bulletin board system which is years and years out of date meaning upgrading is almost impossible or very very difficult and time consuming. Hi, I'm still getting warnings about going to XSIBase. Is it safe to visit or a no go area? Cheers, Adam.

Re: XSIBase safe?
You can still open it up in google chrome Incognito mode and fire up the debugger/console and have a look at what gets loaded. You should be able to see any cross referencing to external website.
