Print2CAD converter. I haven't tried the DWF to DWG but the PDF to DWG
works well on a native PDF file.

I know that AutoCAD 2017 edition has the ability to import PDF and
convert to DWG. If you have the latest version, it works really well.
I'm not sure of early versions.

Ghostgum GS View 4.9

When both are installed you run Ghostgum GSVIEW and open your PDF.

There's two DXF options - I have best results with the one that states:
DXF_S: CAD EXCHANGE FORMAT WITH SPLINES

Sometimes you get lucky and there's a lot of layer info in the
original PDF which gets converted to different layers in the DXF file.
Most times everything will convert with two or three layers available.

I hope that helps.

Re: DWF Files

2017-02-13 Thread Travis Mack, SET
If the PDF is a Vector PDF, then AutoCAD will import it as a background.
You can scale it up pretty good. I've only seen it off by very little.
The software to convert has gotten better over the years. It used to be
horrible. Also, if it is a non-vector PDF, then the conversion can be a
nightmare.

My rule of thumb is that a PDF file is like looking at a picture of

you need to download a converter. I don't believe you can do it direct
in AutoCAD.
