[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Alarm Stream Switching to Disco at the Same Time Every Morning
I know ALARM can be a quirky function; and I know using a radio stream as the alarm adds to that quirkiness. However: Attached is a log of what is odd behavior on a Radio every morning for the past few days. Essentially, I go to sleep with a BBC R3 stream from LMS until SLEEP cuts it out at 0230. Then ALARM is set for 0730, running a BBC R4 stream (i.e. runs until manually stopped). Almost always works fine **Until 0817 every morning**, when it switches to the Disco Blast (which at least now runs quietly, since finding that useful Reduce Volume patch). Ideas welcome. +---+ |Filename: Server Log A.txt | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=26891| +---+ AGB Logitech Media Server Version: 7.7.6 - 1521467459 @ Thu Mar 29 16:46:01 WEDT 2018 Operating system: Windows 10 Music Library: external SD, exFAT (FLAC music; mp3 voice) USA: LinkSys WRT54GS Router, WPA2 1 x Touch, LAN (Firmware:7.7.3-r16676) Controller: 7.7.2-r9663 France: Sagem Livebox 2FR, or Freebox 1 x SB3, wireless. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Server No Longer Starts
I have been using LMS on my WIndows 10 box for several years without any problem and I'm currently running v7.9.1. However, after an update, Windows has installed "Feature update to Windows 10, version 1809" and, incidently or not LMS will no longer start. When I try and start as a service I just see the following line in the server.log: server.log wrote: > > [19-03-04 13:20:19.0676] main::init (387) Starting Logitech Media Server > (v7.9.1, 1522157629, Fri Mar 30 12:17:59 WEDT 2018) perl 5.014001 - > MSWin32-x86-multi-thread > I don't see anything after that and the service fails to start with Windows showing a dialog stating that LMS "started and then stopped". I don't have much to go on in the log, does anyone have any suggestions what I could do next please? This, a different hard disk or the same one after a format will have a different uuid. A friend (a weird concept for some to accept, I know :p) had a similar problem (with pcp/LMS on a rpi3B). He had removed the usb hard disk, done a format and then reloaded his files. He had to make a fresh install of the USB disk (I think there should be a tick box to remove the previous installation). I don't know why this would stop LMS from starting though  (I don't recall my friend complaining about that) Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110261 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

You cant avoid transcoding as the audio must always be the same sample rate, size, channels and a continuous flow of audio, so I cant just merge files.
