MIS plugin working fine for Transporter, Boom, Classic, type players
(not Touch or Radio).

Working fine on LMS 8.0.0.

GUI is at LMS/Settings/Player.

Fantastic - thanks @kidstypike - perfect. I have MP3TAG but its not my
primary tagger (MediaMonkey is) - and too late to preserve original
dates on 50,000+ files... :)

But Free Commander looks the tool - hopefully it can do very large
batches of files... :D

Is Music Information Screen plugin still supported? And if so is there a

Or is it redundant/not compatible with 7.9.2+?

If you use mp3tag to retag your files, you can preserve the file
timestamp so older albums don't show up in new music.

To turn back the modified timestamp on an album I use FreeCommander.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Can You Fix Contaminated New Music List (by Updates To Older Files)?

2020-01-16 Thread Mycenius

Hello All,

My New Music List has become extremely contaminated due to regular
updates to tags (genres/artists/years) and lyrics to older files,
meaning I can no longer easily see my most recent additions. Assuming
this is using the last modified date in the individual files, is there
any way to:

- Have LMS use the file creation date/time for New Music? or
- Is there any trick, app, utility or script you can use to update the
last modified date in some way to recreate the list in the correct
order (from the original creation date)? e.g. something you can list
all the files in by creation date order then have it sequentially do a
(dummy) update to each file to date the last modified date so the
latter is sequentially the same as the original creation dates? or
- Has anyone dealt with this in another way?

Appreciate any suggestions or guidance...

TIA

And you were worried about those sticking with 7.9.1lol. Looks

If old and new are in the same network, you should be able to "pull"
them over using the player dropdown in the new server's web UI.

Otherwise just shut down LMS on the old host. The players will start
looking for a new server and let you connect to it.

A new version is available in beta test, please add:

Code:

https://github.com/marcoc1712/C-3PO/releases/download/v2.02.14/repository-v2_02_14.xml

Is working in Linux, but not in Win, if you could give it a try in macOS
and just report if at least it will be downloaded I'll appreciate.

Sorry for that but the Download and install is not up to me, is the LMS
code that sometimes fails using gitHub, I'll soon move to another
server, but in the meanwhile you could try this.

Thanks a lot.

IMPORTANT Assuming that your Raspbian setup is vanilla

Use WinSCP to navigate to the Plugin folder in question

IMPORTANT Make a note of correct owner & group by right clicking on
install.xml and do properties

Open a terminal window Shift+Ctrl+T or from Commands at top
type exactly this

Code:

sudo chown pi.pi install.xml

Execute

close the terminal
Right click on install.xml and do Edit
Edit install.xml as required

Open a terminal window Shift+Ctrl+T or from Commands at top
type exactly this

Code:

sudo chown OWNER.GROUP install.xml

Execute

but replace OWNER.GROUP with what it was before

Close the Terminal
Close WinSCP

Presets are the physical buttons (1-6) on a Boom or Radio, you can
assign a Favourite/Track/Album/ect. to one of these buttons. You can
also do this on a Touch, but it's a bit convoluted.

Thanks, done that but totally at sea here, probably best to leave it,
too old to be messing around with this.

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] C-3PO plugin, a trnscoding helper.

2020-01-16 Thread jimbabwe

Running latest LMS server and need plugin to always transcode lots of
high bit rate material to 16/44 to use with my Sonic Frontiers Dac.

Github releases page says...
C-3PO is now listed in the 3rd party plugins, just select it , restart
when requested and visit the C-3PO settings pages (also per player).

... but I find that is not the case for me. Plugin does not appear.

Can anyone point me to instructions to install on Mac directly?

No but WinSCP is easy to use and then inside that you can right click
and reset permissions or in this case the user.
SSH is enabled by default on piCorePlayer or is easy to enable on
Raspbian - https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/remote-access/ssh/

Not really, no. Could it be squeezelite-win on my PC? I'm not 100%

sure,

Is this the "Squeezelite X" application? I could give it a try.

Jein, SLX (Squeezelite X) uses, if enabled, squeezelite-win as a player.

But you are using SLX? I'd rather think it's SLX than the player itself.

I can't see a way of updating these plugins, so is it a case of waiting

Ok, I finally got to look into this. Here's what you'd have to do on
pCP:

Connect to your pCP using ssh. Then run the following commands:

Code:

cd /usr/local/slimserver/Slim/Utils/
  rm Misc.pm
  cp /tmp/tcloop/slimserver/usr/local/slimserver/Slim/Utils/Misc.pm .

Now you can edit the file using vi.
