Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] NETGEAR ReadyNAS LMS install problems
Hi I have an Ultra4 and needed to install LMS 8.0. So i did this: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS-in-Business/OS6-now-works-on-x86-Legacy-WARNING-NO-NTGR-SUPPORT/td-p/897021 That made it possible to upgrade to OS6 on my old NAS. So no old version of LMS that I know of. Problem is that due to something I don't understand, the LMS doesn't appear on the "installed apps" list. So I'm really not able to see anything about the installed version of LMS. But in LMS - settings - information I can see it. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] transfer LMS from windows 8 laptop to windows 10 laptop
this is an interesting question that has been addressed a few times, and I am not 100% clear myself. I have had to do exactly what you are doing, plus, I have two systems at different locations that I wanted to be identical. And who hasn't had windows brick? :). Part of the reason I now run picoreplayer. some have said just copy over the slimserver->prefs and slimserver->cache folders after the new install, then rescan. Michael has warned against this however. I have never tried it. I know that others have and perhaps they can chime in What I have done is to basically rebuild lms plugins, settings, etc which is straightforward if you have an old instance you can compare to. I then copy the favorites.opml (which I back up), and do a rescan. But others might chime in with an easier way. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Squeezelite Still Crashing/c0000005 error/MSVCR100.dll
The localplayer plugin uses a very old version of squeezelite, v1.6 I think and it uses Visual Studio 2010 where all my builds are 2008 for 32bit and 2017 for 64bit. So it's possible that MS has introduced a change to these Visual C runtime dlls that is causing squeezelite to crash. After updating to version '8.3.0' (http://htmlpreview.github.io/?https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/blob/public/8.3/Changelog8.html) (8.3.0 - 1633378506 @ Mon Oct 4), which includes pre-caching podcast feed images and data ('PR #668' (https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/pull/674)), loading was significantly accelerated on RPi 3B and the problem is solved to my full satisfaction (verified on my own list containing 127 podcasts, some of them with more than 500 episodes). [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] transfer LMS from windows 8 laptop to windows 10 laptop
I have been using LMS 8.2.1 on a Windows 7 laptop. I may still use it on there sometimes, but my main use will now be on a Windows 10 laptop. I plan to install LMS 8.2.1 on the W10 laptop. I've read a few threads touching on this, but am unclear. Which exact program files can I copy over from the W8 laptop to the W10 laptop to make the W10 LMS have as many of the settings/preferences etc already set the same as on the W8 laptop? In this realm I don't know what I don't know, so please feel free to bring up other issues involved in this W10 laptop installation that I haven't considered. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Squeezelite Still Crashing/c0000005 error/MSVCR100.dll
Sorry for the late response; I have a family member in the hospital so was dealing with that for a few days. I'm not sure how to tell you what version I have installed, in the LMS interface is just says "Squeezelite" and I don't see a version number. It installed automatically with the Local Player plug-in. If you can tell me how to figure it out I'll let you know! It's the oddest thing as it'll work for a couple of days, then will take a spell of crashing and usually crash several times within a single day, then stable again for a longer period of time. I can't help thinking it must be related to something else going on on the machine but I can't find it. It's a dedicated machine running Windows 7 and doing literally nothing other than running LMS and other audio processing software (it's driving an online station). typecrazy789's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115223 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Pause Between Tracks in Playlist
Is is possible to configure LMS to add a (configurable) pause between tracks in a playlist either natively or via a plugin? I use playlists with both local and Spotify songs to help me practice playing my bass guitar but I'd like to insert a small gap between tracks to allow me to set up for the new song. At the moment I've created a short (5 second) FLAC file containing only silence that I'm manually inserting between songs in my playlists. However this is quite cumbersome and as the playlists change often (depending on set list for the next gig) I thought that some way to automate the gaps might be useful. Any ideas?
