No need to stop/start LMS when changing log levels ... plus, if you did not set the flag to say persist the settings then those log levels will have been reset when you started LMS. Next ... wired v wireless ... how are the SB devices connected (should not be an issue because they managed to get an IP address via DHCP)? Try changing the connection type - and if too far away from the router for a wired connection then move the SB unit temporarily. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Can't Connect to server
I've been using Squeezeboxes for a while. Now after moving house, with stuff still in storage, I brought 2 2nd hand Squeezebox 2's and both are able to connect to the network, get an ip address (which I am able to ping) but then say cannot connect to server, left to go back, right to try again. Originally I was using Ubuntu 12 (32 bit) Its been reliable and untouched for years, with an old version of the Logitecmedia server. The machine had not been switched on for several months. I formed the opinion that even though I have neverused mysqueezeboxserver.com, the old software may have been logging in to the site and I understand that the site could be defunct. So I attempted instalation of 8.02 and this failed, it seemed as if the perl version was too old. I upgraded Ubuntu to 18.04 64bit, and was able to get the LMS running, a scan was completed and although there are warnings in the log file about Slim::Utils::Misc::msg (1341) Warning: [15:01:30.7614] DBIx::Class::ResultSet::update_or_create(): Query returned more than one row. SQL that returns multiple rows is DEPRECATED for ->find and ->single at /usr/share/perl5/Slim/Schema.pm line 1905 These *-are-* warnings so perhaps nothing to worry about. I was able to login on port 9000, set up the music file directory and see my music, and monitor the scan as it happened, which took aboutan hour for . I was able to skip the mysqueezebox integration. The scan says there are about 46000 songs which would be right. But still the same problem persists. The squeezebox2's do not manage to connect to the server. One of them I have done a factory reset, one I have not but it makes no difference. Any pointers anyone can give? The web says that this could be a firewall issue, but I dont think so as server and squeezebox are all on 192.168.1.XX and the server has a static IP. Any hints much appreciated. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Can't connect to remote server when using HTTPS
In the LMS server.log I see the error "Can't connect to remote server to retrieve playlist for" when the radio wants to connect to https://s2.ssl-stream.com/radio/8210/radio.mp3 (I get this URL by doing a Radio Search). When I define an favorite with no https (http://s2.ssl-stream.com/radio/8210/radio.mp3), everything works fine. "Proxied Streaming" is used by the Squeeze Box Radio. I read that https is supported when using LMS. And it seems that the connection is refused on the remote part ? I cannot figure out why. Perhaps anyone has an idea ? Make sure the playlist is being scanned after each change you are making to the m3u file. Not sure what you mean. Editors can make mistakes. Need to identify what is different between the files rather that blindly try different options. The "file" command can be used to identify if a file is UTF or ASCII format. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115649 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

In Settings / Basic Settings, I have the following as the first entry under Folders: /Volumes/Macintosh HD/Volumes/External SSD/iTunes And when I click on Browse to bring up the list of folders, I cannot drill down under /Volumes/Macintosh HD/Volumes/External SSD/ sr catosmr's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=50718 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115647 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

My question was posed to eliminate possibilities. It is better to definitively identify the difference and so it is possible to check. Sometime editor settings is the source of the problem I think LMS produced playlist are UTF with BOM. I don't think UTF vs ASCII matter to LMS except but if editor was "dumb" it may incorrectly mix encoding. Since MAcOS is closer to Linux than DOS - I feel line endings (e.g. CR/LF vs LF) shouldn't be an issue but it is important to check, again in case editor messed up. Is there a "file" command in MAcOS Terminal ? bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115649 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Everything is automatic in the text editor. I can force it so save as something, but what should it be? UTF8?
