Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Sequential alarms not working
okay, on a boom alarm 1 set for 7:49 alarm 2 set for 7:51 global alarm timeout of 1 minute alarm 1 triggered at 7:49 and sounded for 1 minute then 1 minute of silence then, at 7:51 the second alarm sounded and lasted for 1 minute. so the "alarm time out" setting is a global setting for each individual alarm. second test.. alarm 1 set for 7:56 alarm 2 set for 7:58 global alarm timeout of 10 minutes result alarm one triggered at 7:56 and played for 2 minutes alarm two triggered at 7:58 cancelling out alarm #1 alarm two played for 10 minutes until 8:08 The real test ( after tonights server shut down and tomorrow morning restart ) will be tomorrow morning. I'll post results ! leinster-lad's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=45943 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114714 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Sequential alarms not working
The last version I tried to instal was logitechmediaserver-7.9.4-1601565762-i386-readynas and it would not work on my system. I have not yet tried any of the 8.* yet and am reluctant to try given the drama I had trying to downgrade back to 7.9.0 last time. For some reason it was so difficult that I originally thought that I had bricked my server. After much swearing and teeth gnashing, I did get 7.9.0 back working again and vowed that I would never try and upgrade again. leinster-lad's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=45943 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114714 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Sequential alarms not working
Hi Guys, I have an issue where I set 2 sequential alarms for my Boom, but only the first alarm works. First alarm is set for 6:30 (one of the ambient noise scapes, Heavy Rain) The second alarm is set for 7:00 (item in the playlist) Alarm duration is set for 20 minutes, so my expectation is that the first alarm will sound from 6:30 to 6:50 Then the second alarm will sound from 7:00 to 7:20 But The second alarm never sounds. I have had a look at the server log Here is yesterdays log ( server powers down everyday at 23:30 and restarts the next morning at 06:00 ) [21-06-13 06:01:27.0838] main::init (384) Starting Logitech Media Server (v7.9.0, 1465358341, Fri Jun 10 04:06:20 UTC 2016) perl 5.008008 - i486-linux-gnu-thread-multi [21-06-13 06:01:31.1284] Slim::Utils::Misc::msg (1244) Warning: [06:01:31.1280] Async::HTTP: Unable to load IO::Socket::SSL, will try connecting to SSL servers in non-SSL mode [21-06-13 06:15:35.2214] Slim::Music::Artwork::precacheAllArtwork (619) Starting precacheArtwork for 2813 albums [21-06-13 06:20:20.2918] Slim::Music::Artwork::__ANON__ (738) precacheArtwork finished in 285.068983078003 2021-06-13 23:30:05 squeezeboxserver_safe stopped. The fail to connect to SSL ? not sure what that is or if that is affecting the operation of the alarms? There does not appear to be anything regarding the alarm in the logs. I have set logging to debug the alarm, will see what that turns up tomorrow. leinster-lad's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=45943 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114714 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Buffering issue with some 24-96 FLAC's on SB Touch
Ok, progress ( sort of ) I re-encoded the 10cc files thru Foobar ( flac 24 bit ) They ended up about 20 megs smaller than the originals. The encoding finished and I got an error message box saying that "corrupt stream" So I had a look at these new files in MP3Tag, all looked good, nothing unusual. Loaded them into Foobar and played, all good. So i re-encoded the already re-encoded files, and this thime there was no error message. ( file size remained the same ) Loaded them up into MP3tag, which was fast as usual. All tags looked "normal" and art work was added. Removed the original files from the SB music library and copied the new ones in. Rescan LMS (full) Got it playing now, all good, no buffering . Any ideas what could have been wrong ? I was sure that I was able to display the actual bit rate on the SBT. Was one of the optionds in the "more" menu I think. Cannot seem to find it now ( LMS 7.9 , SBT 7.8 ) If I tap the "now playing" at the top of the screen, scroll down to "more" and scoll down, I can find the "bit rate" but is from the tag, not the actual "live" bit rate. any ideas ? leinster-lad's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=45943 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105839 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Buffering issue with some 24-96 FLAC's on SB Touch
Touch is wired. on 1gb network to ReadyNAS Pro, running LMS 7.9 ( updated yesterday ) Touch is running 7.8 Music library is on ReadyNAS as a share. There are no other libraries. There are no other SB's connected or sync'd There is no other activity on the network ALL cover art is stripped out Tags stripped out and redone ( MP3Tag ) just with basic album and artist . All other 24/96 files play fine ( ie no buffering ) All other 24/96 files open in windows explorer fine. All other 24/96 files load into MP3Tag or Foobar fine. Opening or loading these particular files on my windows 7 (64bit) machine makes it "bog down" for a few seconds. I can't see anything going on in task manager. It just seems that THESE ( the 10cc ones ) 24/96 files are padded out with something ?? that takes a while for programs to read them. Where / how can I look "into" the files to see why they are so slow to load. ??? leinster-lad's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=45943 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105839 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Buffering issue with some 24-96 FLAC's on SB Touch
Guys, I have an interesting issue that has become apparent recently while trying to play a 24-96 FLAC. I have a few 24-96 Flacs in my library, and they have all played without issue until. As afr as I can tell, this buffering issue relates to only one album. It is a 24-96 with tracks around the 3500 - 5000 kbps VBR. I have attached a screen grab of the data stream. The first peak is the beginning of a Fleetwood mac 24-96 track. There are no buffering issues with that track, it plays straight away with no buffering or delay. The second BIGGER/FATTER peak is the beginning of the 10cc track that buffers and takes a couple of seconds to start playing. In both cases, you can see that the data stream settles down and is continuous. Once the 10cc track starts playing, there is no stuttering or buffering. It plays good. When opening the 10cc album folder in windows or MP3Tag or FooBar, it opens/loads REALLY slowly. All other 24-96 Flacs open/load very quick, as per normal. I know that I could just delete this album, but I am really curious as to WHY ??? I have done all the usual stuff. Stripped out the tags and redone them Removed all album art etc. I have now run out of ideas and call upon your experience. Thanks !
