Did you try the Export function from the Apple Music (ex iTunes) app? Hi there, Having just upgraded my OS, which among other things forced me to buy the $80 year subscription to MS-Office since Office 2011 finally died on this upgrade, I now am facing the same problem that LMS can no longer read my music library. I see this message in the log: Error: Failed when running main scan: [Couldn't open /Volumes/External SSD/iTunes/iTunes Library.xml I was so hoping when I granted Full Disk Access to perl my problems would be resolved. But am I truly pooched here? I didn't see a solution to this missing .xml file issue (but I'm not the best a looking for things, particularly those right under my nose. :-( ) I'm running Logitech Media Server Version: 8.0.0. Exporting from iTunes would give you a list of tracks - which could then be used by LMS. However, if LMS cannot see the music files themselves then they would all be unplayable. Hopefully some Mac people will come along and help further. ANother potential fix (?) among the info in that thread is to export an xml file from the new Apple Music app which replaced iTunes as a workaround of some sort. Again, I'm well over my head here, but could this help me to get functionality of hte external drives Music? THanks for pointing me to that thread, I've been trying to make sense of it already, but I'm grateful. In there, it discusses getting LMS full disk access (which seems to be the problem) but I cannot understand how to do so. One post indicates you should give full disk access to perl, but unless it's done via Terminal, I can't tell how one would do so. DO you have any insight into what I'm missing? LMS 7.9.4 NOT LOADING LIBRARY ON EXTERNAL DRIVE (IMAC OS 10.15.7): I had been enjoying several Squeezebox Radios using LMS (often using iPeng) for 10+ years. After a move and upgrading my Mac to OS 10.15.x, I hadn't run it in several years. Now I can't get LMS to recognize and load my music library on an external drive (USB 3.0), although the external drive appears in the media folder. When I rescan none of the external files are loaded. LMS recognizes and loads music files on my System Hard Drive, but can't seem to see those on my external drives (i've tried a few) I've tried searching the forum and the internet for how to solve this problem, but I haven't found a solution (or I don't understand the tech to do so). Can anyone help me to solve this issue? I have more than 20,000 albums in my library, but that's never been an issue prior. I had been checking "Use iTunes" in LMS, but since OS 10.15, iTunes is now Music, with all those changes. Is this the problem? I've tried rescanning with that both checked and unchecked. Since I've set up my server here in my new house, I've not been able to enjoy my networked music for a few years now - Help!
