Hadn't seen this, but it's perfect. It literally solves my problem.
Before this feature, I would generate the songs from my recording
software, which happens on my local drive in the band folder. I then
have to copy them to my music server and rescan the folder in LMS, find
the songs, add them to a playlist and play... but not any more... I can
just drag them onto the screen, listen to them and then the two days
later do the same with the new songs.

Best feature ever! Thanks for letting me know about it.

Hmm, there's a lot to learn about LMS!

I'm surprised you didn't look at Pippin's plugin suggestion - Playlist
manager - if you have a phone or tablet (I use Squeeze Ctrl on an
Android phone) you can add any track to any playlist, or even a new
playlist.

I think that's what you wanted? :)

I use the "new music" list for stuff like this. Just drop the new songs
in a new folder, anywhere you like in the file tree, rescan, and it will
appear at the top of the New Music list.

OK, just opened a playlist in notepad and see the issue. Thank you so
much! Unfortunately this won't work for some of my playlist as some of
them change twice a week (remember I'm dropping in new or modified band
songs), so I think I have to crack this nut a different way. Is there a

In JRiver I save the playlists as shown below.

However, what I don't think you're getting is that you need to edit the
file paths.

If I open a JRiver playlist in Notepad, I need to change this:
*W:*\Music\Squeezebox Music\V\Various Artists\20 Classic Love songs\07
Nights In White Satin.mp3

to this: *//mnt/flatcap*/Music/Squeezebox Music/V/Various Artists/20
Classic Love songs/07 Nights In White Satin.mp3, for every track.

All the back slashes, need to be forward slashes, and I need to change
*W: *to* //mnt/flatcap *for all tracks (this takes less than a minute
using "Find and Replace" in Notepad).

Thank you!

I have my Logitech server pointing here for playlist:
/mnt/share/Music/Playlists which is really a NAS that for my windows
machine has a different directory. When use the browse button in the
Logitech media server, I can see the folder. Once I scan, the playlist
come up in my list, but for some reason, when I click on them, the songs
in my jriver playlist, don't appear in the Logitech media server list so

You can add tracks to, or delete tracks from a playlist, then save the
playlist.

You can drag and drop the tracks within the list to reorder them, then
save the playlist.

Assuming JRiver is on a Windows PC, then the file paths won't be the
same as those as required by LMS on your max2play install.

I do this myself, create a playlist with JRiver, and edit the file paths
in Notepad.

Pics below show JRiver playlist and same playlist as required by
