Hi Tony,

Continuing this off topic thread, thanks for posting the link. I enjoyed the
animated version of Elements. I have posted some of my favourite Tom
Lehrer tunes as wma files on the following webspace for you and others to
sample. http://www3.telus.net/public/ormerod/LehrerTunes/

Enjoy the following:
New Math, Werner Von Braun, Vatican Rag and Poisoning Pigeons in the Park.

2006-06-12 Thread JOHN DAVIS
Hi Bob,Thanks to pointing everyone to the story in today's Daily Telegraph about the possible re-siting of Christopher Wren's All Souls', Oxford, dial. The story (which was in the June BSS Bulletin) is particularly important today as I believe a decision may be announced. I've also been told that BSS member Tony Ashmore, who lives near Oxford, is being interviewed by ITV television about it this afternoon (Monday). I'm not sure if it will be broadcast on the local or national news!Regard,John Davis -Robert Terwilliger [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Don's bequest decided by a sundial

The copyright police with new licensing technology have caught up to us on
this one. It seems the files do require a licence to play on other
computers. They download fine to my machine but do not to anyone else's. I
guess I was the one doing something very silly thinking that these audio
files could be shared like most other files. I withdraw my offer.

The Sundial Primer - Vertical Direct East West Sundials Dialling Guide

2006-06-12 Thread Carl Barbara Sabanski
Sunny Day,

So, what do you get when you renumber the hour lines of a bunch of Polar
Sundial Dialling Guide? A bunch of Vertical Direct East West Sundials
Dialling Guides. I have posted these most recent Dialling Guides along
with instructions for anyone interested.

The Sundial Primer/Sunny Day U now has Dialling Guides available for 10
types of sundials including horizontal, vertical direct north, south, east
and west, polar, double gnomon polar, equatorial ring, analemmatic and
horizontal shadow plane sundials. The analemmatic (human) and horizontal
shadow plane sundials are sized to be interactive sundials and would make
great school or playground projects.

With the numerous sizes available for some of the sundials and designs for
both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, there are templates available to
make over 2500 sundials.

Happy Dialling!
