Your experience is completely different from mine, both for SM 1 and SM 2, and for Mozilla before it, for that matter. When I edit a sent message as new, it does just that -- it creates a new message based on the old one, leaving the old one intact. When I'm done, I have two messages in my Sent folder -- the original and the modified version. Of course, if we're speaking of drafts, that's an entirely different story. Editing and sending a draft does trash the draft in favor of the message actually sent, leaving you with nothing but the sent message. -- War doesn't determine who's right, just who's left. -- Paul B. Re: Unable to change junk mail destination folder
Update: I managed to solve the problem by erasing my profile, copying in its place an older version of it I'd saved and then recopying all my mail data files over those. This allowed me to change the destination folder of junk mail *before* deleting the account to which it was originally redirected, and then delete that said account. It seems that the problem really was caused by that: suppressing an account whose junk folder was the destination folder for all accounts' junk mail. It screwed up something in the system, thus preventing me to make any more changes to the junk mail settings. I think this is a bug that needs to be corrected. Sure, deleting such an account would leave junk mail settings orphan, but it shouldn't block the system completely. The settings should still be modifyable. Anyway, I thought I'd report back this in case someone else runs into this problem. new to Seamonkey: 3 questions
Finding the right place to post these questions has been a challenge. I'm using SeaMonkey 2.0.4 under Snow Leopard 6.5, primarily for mail and newsgroups. I would appreciate help with three things: (1) how to delete permanently delete newsgroup posts that I don't need cluttering up my hard disk; (2) why some posts appear in Courier font in spite of my Preferences specification of anything but that. And I do not allow sites to use their own fonts; and (3) how to configure keybindings so that the Home and End keys move the cursor to the beginning and end of the line, respectively. I was able to do that in Firefox using the Keyfixer app, but don't know of a corresponding one for Seamonkey. The Keyconfig addon does not seem to work with SM.
