Changes in folder deletion?
Useta be, when I deleted a mail folder, it would be moved to Trash, and I could recover it if I made a mistake -- at least until I emptied the trash. Now it seems that I'm working without a net -- if I delete a folder, it's gone instantly, no chance of recovery. Is there an option I can set to return to the old way, or do I just have to be perfect? -- War doesn't determine who's right, just who's left. -- Paul B. Check your account settings under Disk Space. Regarding 'edit raw file', you're probably aware that Mozilla mailboxes (folders) are simple text files. In a pinch, old content can be found via a text editor (when the client is not open). I then selected Script MT Bold from the drop down list. 4. I next selected the font size for the signature by either clicking the A Up Arrow or the A Down Arrow. 5. Lastly, I sent the message. Note: All of the settings I made during this process reverted back to the original settings once the message was sent. I hope this all makes sense...if not, let me know. Bookmark behavior
In the past few versions of SeaMonkey going to Bookmarks/File Bookmark has a most annoying improvement. Instead of seeing all my folders and choosing where to file the new bookmark, I now only see 5 folders and have to click on Choose to see the rest. How is this supposed to be helpful? Is there a way to change it back, so it will work like on older versions? While browsers such as Firefox and SeaMonkey support Web fonts -- where you can cause a Web page to use fonts from your server even if they are not on the user's system -- I don't think any E-mail application has that capability, either for composing and sending messages or for receiving and reading messages. Furthermore, there are still a number of individuals who view E-mail only in ASCII. None of them will see your signature in Script MT Bold even if they have installed that font. In older versions of SeaMonkey, if I deleted an individual message, that meant moving it to Trash, and I could see it there and move it back, and the treatment of whole folders was exactly analogous: I could see the whole folder sitting there in the Trash and pull it back out. This is no longer true -- if I delete a folder, it doesn't show up in the Trash. It just vanishes. Delete will flag the message/folder as deleted in the source folder/folder list. (i.e. they will not be visible), and copy the contents to trash. Shift+Delete will flag the message/folder but will NOT copy the contents to trash. So until you have compressed, or deleted the trash and compressed the folders, you can edit the raw data files to recover the messages, and folders. Delete will flag the message/folder as deleted in the source folder/folder list. (i.e. they will not be visible), and copy the contents to trash. Shift+Delete will flag the message/folder but will NOT copy the contents to trash. So until you have compressed, or deleted the trash and compressed the folders, you can edit the raw data files to recover the messages, and folders.
