Seamonkey (and Thunderbird) e-mail folders are stored in MBOX format,
which is a plain text concatenation of the individual messages. It
doesn't get much more accessible than that.

For the location, check Edit - Mail and Newsgroup Account Settings -
 - Server Settings - Local directory

He's probably referring to the browser icon in the component bar in the

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I usually would stay logged in,
since
I'm the only one on this PC. It never was a problem with previous
versions of SM. So, when I would restart the Yahoo page I
didn't have
to log or sign back in. Now it seems I do.

Thanks for responding.

What are your cookie settings (generally and for this site)?

1) Edit | Preferences | Privacy & Security | Cookies
If you have it set to "Accept cookies for current session only,"
they will be cleared on program close and you'll have to log back
in.

2) Tools | Cookie Manager
If you set my.yahoo.com to "allow" here, I think it should
override the global setting above, but you'll have to test that
assumption.

My default cookie settings are Allow all cookies and Accept
cookies normally.

I just tried deleting all of my Yahoo cookies with the cookie
manager (except the ones for passwords) and started from scratch.
Then, I logged in to it, ticking the "keep me signed in" box. I
closed the browser and restarted. Next, I selected the MyYahoo
page and at first, it opened like it should have. But when
accessing either the "Personal Assistant" or "Top Stories"
modules, I got the same popup message box as before.

OK, so now I added yahoo.com & yahoo.net to the "allow" list with
the old cookie manager, restarted, loaded the page, but again got
the popup box (twice as the page started up). I don't have any
idea why it still happens. Older versions of SM had no problem
with it.

Javascript not functioning.

2012-06-27 Thread PhillipJones
I'm finding more and more websites where I need to fill out and forms
and then submit them. The submit don't work.

I tried both in SM and FF and the submit button doesn't work (FF 14 a)
and both SM 2.0.14 and the latest 3.x version of SeaMonkey.

ended up using iCab to submit the request. ( the latest was a Web site
for Photo Studion that took pictures of great-niece. Click on the
submit button just showed done and nothing happened. clicking on the
submit button opened up a player that allow viewing of Photo Proofs some
of which had my great-niece.

I submitting to both groups because many of the people that work of SM
don't work on FF or the other way around. So the cause may be different
or the fix may be different.

Yes, it is intricate. HOWEVER, the real problem is that I made all
 of my
folders sub-folders of the Inbox. If I move the sub-folders (with drag
and drop) to the very top of the list to make them sub-folders of the
Account Name, it appears that will solve my problem.

Your right, it was asking for trouble. But I have now moved all of the
sub-folders out of the in-box and everything is working well.

Bryan, this problem has been known to occur, but not very often in

At least you know the solution if/when it happens again.

for the first time (SM is set to start up with Mail & Newsgroups and

to get my normal five tab Home group.

Why the six tabs and why the "About Firefox" page rather than the
SeaMonkey changes page??

No-one else seeing this on Windows??

O.K., I'll keep a look out for it at next update!

SM is set to start up with Mail & Newsgroups and

Chatzilla screens, only

I don't understand this statement, related to the Tabs, which in the
browser, nor is the About Firefox, familiar to me.I have, never paid
attention, but if there is an extra tab, I close it, and I am ready to
go. No need to restart the browser.

SeaMonkey is a suite with both Browser screen and Mail& Newsgroup screen
and ChatZilla screen.

I have SM set up to start with the Mail & Newsgroups screen and the
Chatzilla Screen. Then, when I am ready, I click the Browser icon to
start it up. This was where I was getting the extra, FF, tab.
