Gisele, could you do a favour and click Tools->Web Development->Error
Console and click "Clear". Then, the next time your SM crashes, could
you go there, again, and paste any info pasted there.

The Devs might be able to help then.

Hi Walt,

Thanks for the reply. No, here are my Extensions and Plugins:
Ext: Chatzilla, DOM Inspector, JavaScript Debugger
Plugins: Adobe Acrobat, Flip4Mac, GameTap, Garmin Communicator, Google Earth,
iPhoto Photocast, Java Applet, Microsoft Office Live, QuickTime, Sharepoint
Browser, Shockwave Flash, Shockwave for Director, Silverlight

One option I would take is if there is any version that I could use to remove
the master password, I could install that, remove the master, then upgrade to
the current version.

You have long URL to copy past to a bug report or here...

On the second URL, you may have informations that could useful and the

The vanilla version cannot be installed in SeaMonkey beyond SeaMonkdy
2.26. Before installing, you will thus either have to open the .xpi
file with a ZIP application and edit the install.rdf file to change the
maximum SeaMonkey version or else try using the Extension Converter for

Which folder are you trying to save the PDF into? Can you save anything
into that folder from other applications (e.g. LibreOffice or Word)?
Given that you can't save from IE either, it could be that you don't
have permission to write to that folder.

Something else to try - instead of clicking the link to open the PDF in
the browser, right click the link and select "Save Link Target As..."

We can't; we're just other users of the mailing list. You can, however,
remove yourself by following the instructions linked at the bottom of
every email you receive from the list:

https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

Towards the bottom of that page, there is a section titled
"support-seamonkey Subscribers" with a box to enter your email address
and a button to "Unsubscribe or edit options".

It is admittedly a little confusing that the first option in that
section is for administrators, so you might think the whole section is
for admins and not get as far as seeing the unsubscribe option!

plugin container not working.

2015-10-04 Thread William

I run Vista and just upgraded to SeaMonkey 2.38.

They have added a feature preventing sites from tracing my location. I
have not yet decided if I like this, as it seems to prevent some sites
from loading.

But I do frequently have a problem with plugin container not working.
If memory serves, I had this same problem with recent prior versions of
SeaMonkey, and it is getting to be an irritant. I updated Shockwave
Flash, but that has not solved the problem. So what do I try next?

Can I add Hebrew (really just right-to-left [RTL]) support for "Composer"; or some other extension?

2015-10-04 Thread markshif
Hi.
I don't use SeaMonkey for browsing; I use FireFox; but I had problems with
Puppy Linux OS's text editors and office suites from the beginning; which I
shouldn't get into now.
Anyway - now I found "Composer" and it's almost perfect. The only problem is
with RTL. I can even align a whole line(s) to the right.
The only problem remaining (so it seems) is when I'm writing in the Hebrew\RTL
mode - the next word needs to start to the left - if the next word is in a
different language than the previous etc.
Anyway - is there a solution; either in Composer or another extension or some
other hack?

SeaMonkey seems to be all right with this already. You appear to be on
Windows XP, so may need to find some updated fonts that include them.

Do you think that SM emoticons are based on Windows Fonts ?
I have here when I compose in HTML on the bar where I can do
Bold/Italic/etc .. the last icon is an emoticon where I can choose
between 16 emoticons. See them hereafter (visible if you are in HTML
reading)
:-) , :-( , ;-) , :-P , :-D , :-[ , :-\ , =-O , :-* , >:o , 8-) , :-$ ,
:-! , O:-) , :'( , :-X .

Those are fine, but not emojis.

Emoji aren't those legacy substitutions, they are actual characters like
 and have been showing up more and more with the proliferation
of fancy phones.

The difference between emojis and smilies is that emojis require the
user to have the appropriate fonts installed while the smilies are
automatically generated by the mail-news component of SeaMonkey and
Thunderbird. In the sample of four emojis, note that the two middle
ones are not shown on my PC. Instead, I see boxes with the hex codes
for them.

In about:crashes, click on your latest crash report. That should take
you to a web page starting with
"https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/;
Open a reply to this post and paste the address of your latest crash
report.
We can then look at the data specific to your crash and have a better
idea of what is causing the problem.

It's SM 2.38 who detect my card and take corrective action ?
