Yes. See "2.40a1 missing scrollbar indicator arrow buttons" thread, all
these issues are also applicable to 2.39.

Basically:
1. Active tab is invisible on some themes.
2. Scrollbar arrows don't display borders, and most GTK3 themes don't
display them at all.
3. GTK theme switching is completely broken, you'll have to restart SM
every time.

Another issue isn't mentioned there: ThreeDShadow and ThreeDHighlight
colors are same, so all themes that heavily use them (basically all
Default-based themes) are broken.

Elisa, what Version of SeaMonkey are you using ?? (I've looked for your
User Agent, but, (I guess because you say SM will not let you send or
receive!!) I see you've posted using Google.)

I seem to recall reading here-abouts that the Security Certificate for
versions up to and including Ver 2.33.1 has been expired so you may need
to get a newer version of SM to get a current Certificate.

You have no access at all or just connection issue? With 2.38 I have
connection problem on news.eternal-september.org, just after start the

There are multiple "loading" indicators no videos. I have been unable to

Did you have it listed in the menu under
"View > Show/Hide > Bookmarks Toolbar"?

Maybe you deleted it. Try making it, under "All Bookmarks" create a new
folder and call it "Bookmarks Toolbar".

Then toggle the "View > Show/Hide > Bookmarks Toolbar". See if it appears.

If the toolbar doesn't appear then try exporting bookmarks to an HTML
file. When SeaMonkey used to keep the bookmarks in an HTML they were
organized in a DT list. The personal bookmark toolbar has a special
attribute place on the associated H3 heading. So open the bookmarks.html
and search for the H3 heading with the content "Bookmarks Toolbar"

It should look like this:

...
LAST_MODIFIED="some_date_code">Bookmarks Toolbar

And add the special attribute "PERSONAL_TOOLBAR_FOLDER":

PERSONAL_TOOLBAR_FOLDER="true">Bookmarks Toolbar

Save it and then import bookmarks from that file and see if toggling the
"View > Show/Hide > Bookmarks Toolbar" makes the bookmarks toolbar appear.

I vaguely remember long ago that they change the default name of the
special bookmark toolbar folder, back when converting from Communicator
to Mozilla, or Mozilla to SeaMonkey. I don't remember fully, but that
was how I fixed it back then.

Afaics, disabling GTK3 on mozilla-beta automatically disabled it for us
too - at least my builds here
https://l10n.mozilla-community.org/~akalla/unofficial/seamonkey/nightly/latest-comm-beta-linux64/
were build with GTK2 even though I didn't change anything (and I also
don't force GTK3 in my builds). Aurora and central are still GTK3.

Is there a fix in the works?

I'm on SM 2.38/Win7, but this has been going on for quite some time.

Have you filed a report with Bugzilla on this one?

I haven't, no, because it's been so thoroughly discussed for so long
that I just assumed one had been filed. If memory serves, it's been the
better part of a year.

Found one:

Two other bugs marked as dupes of this one.

At least as old as 2.35; one poster says never before that.

Re: Emojicons support?

2015-10-08 Thread Ant

When will SeaMonkey support emojicons like in e-mails since I am getting
more of them not showing up correctly.

Do you have the fonts necessary to view them?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emoji#Implementation

Hmm. I guess none for Windows XP SP3. :(

For WinXP You can add Symbola_hint.ttf from:
http://users.teilar.gr/~g1951d/ (Symbola Symbol blocks of The Unicode
Standard http://users.teilar.gr/~g1951d/Symbola.zip)

That will give you much of the symbols & pictographs, but will not be in
color (same as linux). To test just go to the wikipedia page:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emoji#Blocks

and notice that you get undecipherable blocks instead of the
symbols/pictographs. While on that page, install the symbola ttf fonts
and the page should immediately change to show the symbols/pictographs
with the exception of a few.

Do I assume to put *.ttf files into c:\windows\fonts directory/folder?
If so, then I am not seeing the emojis -- http://i.imgur.com/Usd1EnN.png
for a screen shot/capture from Prefbar extension.

troubleshooting steps have you taken before posting your query.

It didn't work in safe mode or a new profile?

Yep both. Same results. Even tried other machines like I said in my

Then it appears your profile is messed up.

There are multiple "loading" indicators no videos. I have been unable to
find anything in Xfinity support that addresses this situation. Perhaps
someone in this group has some insight. Since videos play normally on
most sights, I wonder if there is something unique about the videos on
this site or if a tweak in needed in Seamonkey.

I see the same using:
- SeaMonkey 2.33.1
- Internet Explorer 9
- Google Chrome 45
on Windows Vista

I guess something is broken on that site. Either that or, being in the
UK, they're blocking me from seeing the videos (or whatever it is that's
supposed to be loading).
