Dave, have you tried Drag'n'DropIn native 2.5, I can re-order the

That doesn't work for for a mail account. At least for POP3, don't know
about IMAP. I wouldn't be very surprised if there is an enhancement bug
in Bugzilla already.

For now, i see only one possibility without digging in the source and
writing a patch. Unless there exists an add-on i do not know of.

Renaming the folders in alphabetical order for instance by prefixing the
old names with numbers like 1_oldname, 2_oldname and so on.

Use Folder Flags to flag your Old_Inbox folders as Inboxes.

Is there another add-on that offers this capability? This add-on does
NOT support the current SeaMonkey and there was no response from the
author to an e-mail requesting an enhancement to extend compatibility.

Alternatively, is there a way to address this by editing the *.msf files
in the profile? Where is the documentation on this?

Dave

Dave, don't know anything about the folderflags program but first thing
I would do would be to dump the old msf files, as these will then be
rebuilt when you first select the old mail folders in SeaMonkey (Note
the actual e-mails are contained in the folders without the suffixes,
i.e. old_inbox, old_sent, etc.).

Perhaps I'm not understanding your problem... Why don't you just set the
columns to how you want them? Click the furthest column header (looks
like a down arrow over a box frame) and select 'Recipient'. That will
then display the recipient column - the can then drag the column to
whatever position you wish on column heading bar. You can uncheck the
'From' column if you don't want it to appear in the column headers.

The problem is that if I change from From to Recipient in the
Old_Sent folder it ALSO changes ALL FOLDERS EXCEPT THE Inbox to show
Recipient instead of From even when it is not appropriate to do so!
So it appears that all folders except the Inbox folder are set from
the same template. I want to keep my Inbox folders showing the From
but have my Sent folders showing the Recipent in the folder index.
From its documentation the Folder Flags add-on should allow me to do
exactly what I want, but the add-on is not compatible with the current
release of SeaMonkey and the author did not reply to a request for it to
be updated. So I am looking for another way to address the issue.

Mnenhy can do that. You can uncheck 'Inherit parent data' in 'Folder

A look into the install.rdf shows 'maxVersion=2.6a1'. I haven't noticed
that because i have disabled the compatibility check for my SMs. Mnenhy
works fine on my SM 2.9a1, but has issues with last TBs.

You could change the maxVersion, perhaps 'Folder Flags' will also work

I went ahead and downloaded the Folder Flags xpi file and edited the
maxVersion for SeaMonkey from 2.2.* to 2.6.* and was able to install it
at that point. It appears to be functioning properly, as I was able to
flag the Old and Older folders as Inbox or Outbox as appropriate
and the columns are now appropriate for the type of folder.

Now the only further improvement would be if I could reorder the folders
