 [piggybacking]

I don't like the Add new tab button on SeaTabXPlus. I already
have a button, Open new tab, to the left for that. The Add new
tab button gets in the way when I only want to close the tab.
Without uninstalling STXP, how can I get rid of it?

Thanks.

You should really switch to SeaTabXPlus as suggested here, especially
since SeaTabX just /seems/ to still work with current SM versions. But
actually it *breaks* it, specifically tab dragdrop.

Where is the official page os SeaTabXPLus?
I can't find it using the Search in the Add-ons manager.

I found the 1.1 version linked from one of the bottom posts on the page

I'm actually thinking it is not intended behavior since the right-click

Ahh yes, I see that. And I see that the close button does indeed appear
along with a Close Tab context menuitem on the single tab in Fx when
this pref is set false. If this pref is set false in SM, the Close Tab
context menuitem remains disabled just as it does when the pref is set
true.

Ok, so without getting too complex with the code in this extension, I
should just back out the bit where the button is hidden if only one tab
is open. I'll leave it up to users to decide if they want to hide it or
not.

I'm not a system guy, so I don't really know how to go about getting

You mean it happens that way on purpose?

What if you have the pref selected to Hide the tab bar when only one

tab bar visible with only one tab just so they can create a blank

The SeaTab X that I have been using for a few years or so, always had an
X in every tab header including a single one. Now, I've lost that with
the latest version. Personally, I thought the earlier way was ideal as
it makes it very clear that the user doesn't have an active tab.

and ease of use for me.
Just installed it myself, and I like it--it does just what you say you
want. This is one of the 2 functions from the old 'MultiZilla'
extension that I miss from SM v1.x (the other being tab focus change
through mouse hover).

The difference for SeaTab X is which version you install, and that's
based on which version of SM you're installing it into. If you have SM
2.0.x, you should have SeaTab X v 1.0.7. SM v2.1.x uses SeaTab X
v1.1.2. Check your versions and uninstall/install as necessary.
