Hi Ramona, I ran into the same problem you did. The first message read without a hitch but that was it. I couldn't get WE to read the next or subsequent messages. The rest of the program is, as you say, pretty accessible but it's no good if you can't read messages. I gave it up as a bad job in the end and went to Outlook 2016. Sorry not to be more helpful. Mail app in Windows 10
Hi everyone, Was just wondering if anyone had any tips and tricks for setting up the mail app in Windows 10 to make it easily accessible for a screen reader. I'm using Windows Live mail at the moment but can't say I like it all that much. Are there views I have to turn off and so on so that the messages are just in a simple list so I can read them. This is on a machine using Windows 10 64 bit home edition and the latest version of Window-Eyes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Larry, Windows Ten downloads to a hidden folder on your computer called Windows BT. If you turn on hidden files and folders, it'll be the first folder you'll see at the top of the list if Windows Ten is, in fact, downloading or has downloaded. Re: Why does Window-Eyes just stop talking?
This happened to me over the week end when I tried to log into the Paypal website. It was okay until I hit the log in link and there was no way I could enter my user name and password. Window-Eyes stopped talking and no matter what I did, I couldn't exit. Control alt W wouldn't work and it took a hard shut down and a reboot to solve the problem. If anyone has a Paypal account, can they please try the website and see how they get on? Using Windows 7 Home Premium and latest version of Window-Eyes. Re: WE 9.2 and IE 11
Still getting a lot of crashes with Windows 9.2 and IE11. Did someone say something about an auto-recovery feature? Well it hasn't happened for me yet; I still have to press control alt W to get WE back. Also, still got the issue with Audible downloads where Window-Eyes sticks halfway through the download and will neither close nor open and I have to reboot. Must say I thought these bugs had been ironed out but it seems not. Windows Seven 64 bit with latest Window-Eyes! Still experiencing frequent crashes with Internet Explorer 11
I was hoping that the crash issue with IE 11 would be fixed in Window-Eyes 9.2 but no such luck. I've had three crashes today alone. Windows 7 64 bit with Window-Eyes 9.2. Oh yes, I was wondering about the slight punctuation bugs. Even though I've got my punctuation set to none, Eloquence still reads out occasional commas and full stops and its favourite is reading the closing quotation mark of any speech as apostrophe, so, for example, you'd get: today is Wednesday, apostrophe! Minor irritations as I think the Sapi five eloquence is brilliant! Gary, the Sapi 5 eloquence can be used with any program on your computer that uses speech. Like the version of Eloquence for Android made also by Code Factory, it is pretty responsive and the voice quality is good.
