RE: my set files changed.

2018-12-02 Thread Rod Hutton via Talk
Hi,

Actually, simply running Window-Eyes as Administrator doesn't load the All
Users Profile where the Insert-key layout app is probably still running, since
it is a default Window-Eyes app, that is, an app installed with Window-Eyes.
Therefore, you would still be running under the default user profile until you
purposely switch to it.
After running Window-Eyes as Administrator, if you explore the Profiles node in
the Window-Eyes control panel, you will see how to switch to the All Users
Profile, since it will then be an available profile option.
I don't want to flog a dead horse here.
I was simply pointing to the fact that, in my opinion, you somehow got switched
to the All Users Profile, where you probably still have the Insert-key layout
app installed, and the Insert-key layout was active.
No other explanation makes sense to me. Smile

Best,

Rod

Re: my set files changed.

2018-12-02 Thread David via Talk
Jst for the fun, in all this playing around, did you try restarting your
computer? Have seen a few cases, where some behavior sticks, and once
the computer has been restarted, things work normally again. Just be
aware, I am talking about a real restart, not just going in and out of
sleeping or hibernation mode. Worth to keep in mind, should you run into
a similar case later on.

Very strange; especially be it that you can change it and it works and
when you change it back to Insert+T it speaks the title.
Just for the heck of it I'd try turning apps off. If that doesn't work
I'd try assigning Insert+T to something else and see if it works there.
Good luck,
Tom

This is why I uninstall all scripts I'm never going to use.
