I believe that since we, who own Win-7 or 8, have a year to do the free
upgrade to version 10, then it is prudent to wait for the buggs to get
worked out. I don't even think we should install WE-9.2 until deciding to
install Win-10. This sluggishness of 9.2 is quite disconcerting. Smile

Re: first impressions of Win 10

2015-07-30 Thread Bob Tinney via Talk

Hi,

I successfully upgraded Windows 8.1 without any problem to Windows 10.
Windows explorer seems a little slow, but that will probably improve in
time. Everything else works just as before.

I do have two questions. Is the all apps button like the old all
programs button? And I figured out that Cortana starts listening with
control windows, but so far, she is not giving me any spoken output. I
can dictate in an edit field using Cortana. What setting am I missing?

Re: first impressions of Win 10

2015-07-29 Thread Bob Tinney via Talk

Hi,

I successfully upgraded Windows 8.1 without any problem to Windows 10.
Windows explorer seems a little slow, but that will probably improve in
time. Everything else works just as before.

I do have two questions. Is the all apps button like the old all
programs button? And how do you start Cortana?

Hi,
I have a dual boot with windows 10 and windows 7 and I agree that WE9.2
is sluggish, more so, in windows 10.

Also, if you are too fast, I find that WE9.2 crashes easily.

Good Luck, Manny please help me reach a million clicks by forwarding my

Am finding WE response lagging in file explorer. If you use the arrow
keys to go through the list of files and folders using the arrow keys
there is much more lag that there was in Windows 8.1. Anyone else have
this issue? Is there any settings that can be changed to resolve this
issue?

Thanks
