I never looked in the properties. Thank you, wonder what functions might not
be usible in the older shell?

Actually, I just figured out how to fix this.
If you open the command shell, and press Alt-spacebar, you'll activate the
system menu for the command shell window.
If you arrow down to Properties, and press Enter, you'll be in a multi-tab
dialog, and you'll be in the first tab, called Options.
Simply tab to the check box named Use legacy console, check it, tab to Ok
and press Enter.
As the check box label states, you will need to restart the command shell
window for the changes to take effect, but, once reopened, the repeating of
screen content no longer occurs.
