Re: Suggestions for the next version of Window-Eyes
The suggestion is that window-eyes auto read, every time the window(s) changes, the "title" of the window. Try hitting control-tab in any program with multiple windows and window-eyes will NOT read the window title. EVEN WHEN INSTRUCTED TO DO SO, automatically. I can have it read the title with the "title" command, but NOT automatically. At 05:46 PM 11/28/2015, you wrote: Hi AI Squared staff. Sky here. It would be wonderful for Window-Eyes to just read the dialog box, but not do a lot of yapping and yapping. ___ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared. RE: Suggestions for the next version of Window-Eyes
Yes but the point here is he wants smart reading of message boxes and dialog. This means that the screen reader read the static text relating to the edit box or button without reading the whole thing. This has been something I have asked for in the past. -Original Message- From: Talk [mailto:talk-bounces+jgrimsby=roadrunner@lists.window-eyes.com] On Behalf Of Tom Kingston via Talk Sent: Saturday, November 28, 2015 6:11 PM To: Sky Mundell <s...@shaw.ca>; Window-Eyes Discussion List <talk@lists.window-eyes.com> Subject: Re: Suggestions for the next version of Window-Eyes Sky, Open the WE control panel. Not only that, but window-eyes does not read the name of the active tab when it is changed using ctrl+tab. This also has been something I reported on a number of ocations. -Original Message- From: Talk [mailto:talk-bounces+jgrimsby=roadrunner@lists.window-eyes.com] On Behalf Of Curtis Delzer via Talk Sent: Monday, November 30, 2015 1:29 PM To: Window-Eyes Discussion List <talk@lists.window-eyes.com> Subject: Re: Suggestions for the next version of Window-Eyes The suggestion is that window-eyes auto read, every time the window(s) changes, the "title" of the window.
