I just upgraded. I thought I was going to have to ask a question, because I

went through the setup really quickly. I've just been using it for maybe a
half hour, so I can't say anything about improvements, but I notice that

has any that have 9.2, gone out on the Web to see if 9.2 continues to
speak and not fade away?

And I am talking about messing around on the web for more than 30
minutes, and going to more than one ot two sites.

I think it is going to be similar to Dolphin Computer Access's product
Supernova, which combines their screen reader, Hal, and their magnifier,
Luna. Maybe it would be good for the RNIB to know about this, as they
are selling computers which have Jaws pre-installed with no magnifier.

Hi Reeva,

This is an excellent question.

In 2015, we will be releasing a product called ZoomText Fusion. This

ZoomText Fusion is specifically designed for people who have progressive

ZoomText Fusion includes all of the power of ZoomText Magnifier,
ZoomText Magnifier/Reader, as well as complete and full screen reading

Hi

You don't need to go that route to upgrade, simply visit
http://www.gwmicro.com/upgrade, enter your serial number and it'll
generate an upgrade. I bet a lot of people are doing this now, so
patience is a virtue. I tried upgrading directly from within
window-eyes by going to the help menu, and then check for updates, and
after a couple minutes I received an error message saying that the
download wasn't successful and to try again in a few minutes. It's
probably because everyone's hammering the servers to get the upgrade.
I'll hang out for a few and try it again in a bit.

Window-eyes 9.2 is now available

2015-07-27 Thread Michael Massey via Talk
Here's a follow up message. Just before I started to type this e-mail, I
received two different messages when trying to download Window-eyes 9.2.
The first message that came up was a message telling me that an active
internet connection is required to download the upgrade. I tried the bard
website and the page came right up. I then once again tried to download
Window-eyes 9.2, but rather than waiting a few minutes for the error to be
generated, the error generated immediately when pressing the enter key.
This scenario occurred using Internet Explorer 11. Yes, I have Firefox and
Google Chrome installed And I received the second error message twice
immediately when pressing the enter key. .

Well, after I send this message, I'm gonna give the download another whirl,
smile.

RE: Window-eyes 9.2 is now available

2015-07-27 Thread Marc Solomon via Talk
Yes, Window-Eyes 9.2 is a recommended upgrade for all of our customers even if
you aren't using Windows 10. The upgrade includes new features and improvements
that are not specific to Windows 10. You can read about all of the changes in
the Window-Eyes 9.2 Read Me:
http://www.gwmicro.com/Window-Eyes/Version_History/index.php?details=9.2.0.0.
As far as how easy it is to roll back to 9.1, it would require that you
uninstall Window-Eyes completely and then reinstall 9.1. These steps are easy
for some to perform but more difficult for others.
Regards,
Marc

Hi Reeva,

This is an excellent question.

In 2015, we will be releasing a product called ZoomText Fusion. This product
will combine the power of ZoomText and Window-Eyes in a single product.

ZoomText Fusion is specifically designed for people who have progressive eye
conditions or are in transition from low vision to blindness. ZoomText Fusion
includes all of the power of ZoomText Magnifier, ZoomText Magnifier/Reader, as
well as complete and full screen reading into one, single, integrated product.

More info coming soon. smile

will zoomtext fusion replace the regular window eyes product? or will this

Hi Reeva,

This is an excellent question.

In 2015, we will be releasing a product called ZoomText Fusion. This
product will combine the power of ZoomText and Window-Eyes in a single
product.

ZoomText Fusion is specifically designed for people who have progressive
eye conditions or are in transition from low vision to blindness.
ZoomText Fusion includes all of the power of ZoomText Magnifier, ZoomText
Magnifier/Reader, as well as complete and full screen reading into one,
single, integrated product.

More info coming soon. smile
