RE: Installing WE from a Thumb Drive
Simply copy the entire contents of the Windoweyes DVD to the thumb drive. When you insert the thumb drive, you will likely have to go manually run the setup program. Re: thumb drive
Hi there! Just checked and with the drive plugged in, I highlight the bookthat I wish to download, press the context key and arrow down twice to 'open containing folder, press enter' and finally press the context menu key again arrow dow3 times and press enter on extract all. This is where I have to do a bit of editting to the path name. It does work for me everytime unless I enter an incorrect path at whitch time I receive some sort of invalid path error message. This way may sound a bit combersom and if someone has a quicker and easier way I certainly am all Ears! would be willing to try something simpler as long as it works. Am always open to new ideas especially if they make things easier! Jim On 02-Nov-15 21:00, Pamela Dominguez via Talk wrote: I know about going to the computer icon and finding the drive. The desktop has 20 items but none of them are this pc. I can do windows x and get to the various disks as you said but don't know how I would get it on the desktop. I should've taken this off line but wanted Rod to see it also. So this whole setup seems to be kind of weird. I'll keep checking around and get it figured out eventually I think. Re: finding thumb drive
Hi, and this is also to Rod. I can just hear you guys saying"Oh no, is he here again!" Seriously, I do appreciate your patience and interest. This doesn't boot to the desk top. I don't know if it's supposed to but it never has. I would get to it from file manager which has now disappeared along with several things that were on whatever you call it where it goes to at start. I can get to the desktop by typing it in Cortana. The desktop has 20 items but none of them are this pc. I can do windows x and get to the various disks as you said but don't know how I would get it on the desktop. I should've taken this off line but wanted Rod to see it also. Re: finding thumb drive
i just label my drives so i can by pass everything in the list. like 1windows 7 then i can use first letter navigation to go to my drives. *** is there a way to change the view so only the drives show like windows 7 and older have? i'v fiddled a little bit with the views ribbon but no luck. -Original Message- From: Rod Hutton via Talk Sent: Saturday, September 19, 2015 12:47 PM To: 'bud schwab' ; 'Window-Eyes Discussion List' Subject: RE: finding thumb drive Hi Bud, There ought to be an icon on your desktop called This PC.
