Hi Dave,

You're right, you have to tag that one as deleted. Or search for it with
JOSM and delete it there. You don't have to do it in one session. While
editing with a text editor, it's probably best not to have the layer
present in JOSM.

relation_member_ways: Membri delle ways
relation_member_relations: Membri delle Relazioni

In questi casi non sarebbe meglio così?
relation_member_nodes: nodi membro della relazione (o nodi della relazione)
relation_member_ways: ways membro della relazione (o ways della relazione)
relation_member_relations: relazioni membro della relazione

Have you considered getting an older device from some who has gotten
something newer? You can load OSMAnd+ which allows you to download specific
countries for offline use. I use my old Nexus S for that as well as
Mapillary. You don't need service. The gps works and you can use wifi to
download updated maps. Plus with a smartphone, even without service you can
use GoMap!! or Vespucci, to make edits while you travel.

No, nekdo se preklepl, ale ty data vypadaj vubec zajimave. Nemel by
pocet minut a sekund byt < 60?

Wenn der building gedanke überwiegt wäre roof:material=grass und
roof:shape=flat gut.

For in car use I think you want;
Voice communication - from it to you .. so you don't have to look at the 
screen to be aware of up coming turns.
12 volt power input - so you don't have to worry about flat batteries 
while in the car.

An easy in car mount

For walking you want;
Internal batteries with good capacity
colour screen to work out where you are, the things around you and any 
directions (you don't want voice directions here)

Physically small

Chose a model to suit. Do go and look at it physically, and take it out 
into the sun to evaluate the screen.



You can load OSM maps [1] on many of Garmin's devices. You can 
download all of Europe [2] or just the countries you are interested 
in. I used my Garmin eTrex 20 in Costa Rica with great results. The 
eTrex series has a somewhat small screen but it great for directions.



We don't have smart phones ( nor smart brains anymore) so can't
use an app.



I'd encourage you to get a smart phone. I find it aids my brain by 
providing 'smarts' ... things like currency conversion, a small camera, 
language assistance, as well as maps. Get an in car charger for it too, 
saves finding power points and converters.

J'ai essayé, mais malheureusement j'ai abandonné après un quart d'heure.

Les relations ne sont pas de version 2 et il est quasi impossible de les
convertir sans plus d'informations.

Réparer la relation tel qu'elle est à présent n'a pas beaucoup de sens pour
moi.

Après l'itinéraire sera toujours ambigu. Si c'est juste pour dessiner une
jolie carte ça n'a pas d'importance où l'on ajoute les chemins qui manquent
pour le moment.

Fin de mise à jour, les admin_level=9 sont sur les anciennes communes ainsi
que les frontières internes aux nouvelles communes et admin_level=8 sur les
relations des nouvelles avec une start_date=2016-01-01 ou 2015-12-15 pour 3
d'entres elles (histoire de ne sourtout pas faire quelque chose d'homogène).

Ce qui je n'ai pas fait: positionner le admin_level:type car je ne sais pas
si elles sont toutes en "commune déléguée".

Sur les communes nouvelles, j'ai mis un admin_level:type=commune nouvelle
Il y a aussi des fixme pour suivre les ref:INSEE d'ici la publication du
COG 2016 (dans 4 mois).

Les population=* sont à vérifier là où l'on n'a pas pu les récupérer depuis
les arrêtés, de plus il y a surement un peu de mélange entre "population
municipale" et "population totale".

Considerato che in Sicilia hanno parecchie volte fatto infuriare i mappers
nostrani per cancellazioni immotivate linko due changesets sospetti recenti
degli utenti in oggetto:

ho segnalato anche un altro changeset di uno degli utenti in questione dove
veniva eliminato un cancello all'user che lo inserì (un amico della mailing
list messinese).
Ho commentato entrambi i changesets.

Kleiner Nachtrag.

Beim Auslesen der History der Relation gab es, nachdem es mir
aufgefallen war, mehrere Male Timeouts.

Und was mich auch komisch stimmt, wie kann ein User nach mir Änderungen
an der Relation vornehmen, wenn keine Ways mehr vorhanden sind und keine
Key-Values geändert wurden?

Frohes Neues!

Es ist etwas merkwürdiges mit der Relation Radverkehrsnetz NRW, Stadt
Köln (55607) passiert.

Ich habe heute abend einige wenige! Ways aus der Relation entfernt und
die Änderung mit JOSM hochgeladen. Kurz danach hat ein weiterer User
ebenfalls Änderungen daran hochgeladen.

Nachträglich sehe ich in der Historie, dass mit meinem Commit 36305840
alle Ways entfernt wurden. Keine Ahnung warum.

Jedenfalls wollte ich in JOSM mit "Änderungssatz umkehren", die Member
wieder herstellen, aber mir wurden die alten Member erst gar nicht mehr
angezeigt.

Jemand ähnliches erlebt? Oder einen praktikablen Lösungsvorschlag?

You can download in one session, just remember to save it to the local 
storage.
Edit, even while off line, in another session, again remember to save it 
to the local storage.
And then upload in another session, you run the risk of conflicts with 
any other edits that have taken place between the saving of the OSM data 
and the upload to OSM.

[Talk-de] plötzlich leere Relation Radverkehrsnetz NRW, Stadt Köln

Frohes Neues!

Es ist etwas merkwürdiges mit der Relation Radverkehrsnetz NRW, Stadt
Köln (55607) passiert.

Ich habe heute abend einige wenige! Ways aus der Relation entfernt und
die Änderung mit JOSM hochgeladen. Kurz danach hat ein weiterer User
ebenfalls Änderungen daran hochgeladen.

Nachträglich sehe ich in der Historie, dass mit meinem Commit 36305840
alle Ways entfernt wurden. Keine Ahnung warum.

Jedenfalls wollte ich in JOSM mit "Änderungssatz umkehren", die Member
wieder herstellen, aber mir wurden die alten Member erst gar nicht mehr
angezeigt.

Jemand ähnliches erlebt? Oder einen praktikablen Lösungsvorschlag?

I think the LPI is suffering from a sudden increase in use of their 
site.. possibly by OSM mappers :-)


LPI Base Map is down. Imagery is up as is admin boundaries.

I have added a few large State Forests and some National Park detail. As 
well as some Sydney area road names. Keep mappin guys !

Ho iniziato a tradurre, ma è un lavoro lungo (anche perché non sono
esperto di github).

Mi mancano ancora le ultime righe e soprattutto deve ancora essere
ricontrollato tutto.
Se qualcuno di voi è disponibile a ricontrollare cosa ho scritto
sarebbe meglio (perché se ricontrollo io stesso il controllo è meno
preciso).

Uno dei dubbi che ho avuto è come tradurre "relations of this type".
Se sia meglio

"relazioni di questo tipo"
oppure
"questo tipo di relazioni"

Come dicevo si vede che è un punto poco chiaro anche per me :(
Credevo si dovesse seguire più o meno la dimensione del paese in
funzione della popolazione.
Se dobbiamo seguire quell'elenco anche in provincia di Lecce ci sono
moltissime incongruenze

1) paesi taggati con town, che non ci sono nell'elenco (casualmente
tutti superiori a 10.000 ab.):
- Tricase con 17.000 abitanti;
- Aradeo con 10.000 abitanti;
- Copertino con 24.000 abitanti;
- Lizzanello con 10.000 abitanti;
- Cavallino con 10.000 abitanti;
- Surbo con 15.000 abitanti;
- Leverano con 14.000 abitanti;
- Veglie con 14.000 abitanti;
- Carmiano con 12.000 abitanti;
- Trepuzzi con 14.000 abitanti;

2) paesi taggati con village che nell'elenco sono città (casualmente
tutti inferiori a 10.000 ab.):
- Alessano con 6.000 abitanti;
- Melendugno con 9.000 abitanti;
- Miggiano con meno di 4.000 abitanti;
- Muro Leccese con 5.000 abitanti;
- Otranto con 6.000 abitanti;
- Poggiardo con 6.000 abitanti;
- Santa Cesarea Terme con 3.000 abitanti;

Ora mi pare assurdo che paesini come Miggiano (3.753 ab.) o Santa
Cesarea (3.095 ab.) possano essere taggati con town sol perchè
dichiarati città con qualche decreto, mentre paesi centrali come
Copertino (24.468 ab.) o Tricase (17.386 ab.) debbano essere village.
Ergo secondo me non possiamo seguire quell'elenco per decidere se un
paese sia town o village.

faccio anch'io una cosa simile, ma ammetto che non spedisco più sempre a
tutti. Il discorso è che una mail automatica già li arriva (credo, al meno
quello alcuni mi hanno scritto), mentre con la nostra mail dovremmo mandare
un messaggio personalizzato. Io tento di fare riferimento a quello che
hanno fatto e cerco di dare qualche dritta cosa si potrebbe migliorare. La
cosa è onerosa però, sopratutto perché non smettono mai ad inscriversi ;-)
Se non lo fai per qualche tempo ti si crea un coda poco motivante...

Io mando questo testo (modificato poi nel dettaglio, evventualmente tolgo
"iD" o sostituisco con Potlatch, a secondo quale editore hanno usato),
forse ci sono errori ortografici e grammaticali...

Sto guardando i primi edits delle persone che si sono recentemente iscritti
ed hanno cominciato a mappare. Ho notato delle piccole cose che ti vorrei
comunicare per aiutarti nel miglioramento dei dati.


Hai usato l'editore "iD", se permetti, ti consiglio di utilizzare JOSM che
non ha certi problemi di cui iD soffre (per esempio ortofoto del PCN, trovi
maggior’informazioni nella wiki di osm, http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/
).

Poi ti vorrei dire che esiste una mailing list regionale (con poco
traffico) ed una a livello nazionale (con molto più traffico) per avere
contatto con gli atri mappatori (puoi porre delle domande e ti risponderà
quasi sicuro qualcuno entro poco tempo):

risolto con amenity=events_venue

mi sembrava la cosa più adatta.

new for the future (especially that it can be done in P2)


Jo, I haven't tested it but does JOSM know it's meant to delete the 
latter relation? Does the download/editing/upload have to be performed 
in one session?

Griaß eich,
wie tagt man z. B. Garagen, welche von der Zufahrtsseite ganz normal aussehen, 
jedoch so in den Hang gebaut sind, dass die Dächer wie eine normale Wiese, 
Park, ... aussehen und auch so genutzt werden. Habe dies auch bei Umkleiden an 
einem Sportplatz, ...

È per questo che vi ho scritto, per trovare le parole giuste. Non è mia 
intenzione perdere mapper ma creare comunità, assistere chi è agl'inizi 
dandogli informazioni su come trovare aiuto sugli eventuali problemi che potrà 
trovare lungo il percorso di mapper. Non voglio spedire una guida, ma dare 
consigli  e fagli capire che se hanno problemi c'è una mailing list che li può 
aiutare. Esempio? Ho contattato un nuovo utente dove aveva scritto sul 
changeset" cancellato costruzione..." gli ho chiesto chiarimenti e gentilmente 
mi sono reso disponibile. Oggi dallo stesso utente mi è arrivata questa mail:

Ora, se non lo avessi contattato a chi avrebbe posto la domanda? Dove avrebbe 
avuto la risposta? In ml? Certo, ma se non sa dell'esistenza della ml secondo 
voi per quanto tempo sarebbe durato come mapper se già all' inizio ha 
difficoltà?
Ed ora un OT sulla domanda che ha posto l'utente, ma con il Garmin non si 
esporta la traccia? Se si, datemi info che gli rispondo (scusate ma uso il 
cellulare per le tracce).

Lo so purtroppo, ma vedere quanti iscritti danno contributi di pochissimi 
changeset, mi motiva a tendegli una mano, dando degli spunti su dove trovare 
aiuto. Ho il sospetto che molti si arenano perché non sanno a chi chiedere se 
hanno domande, dubbi o problemi vari. È per questo che comunque farei un bel 
copia incolla della mail da inviare ai nuovi utenti. ;-)

Co jsem koukal, tak problém asi bude dělat poloha přejezdů u vleček. V
Dymokurech  je P4582 navázán na špatnou polohu v souvislosti s přejezdem
vlečky. U popisu toho přejezdu je i kilometráž trati/vlečky která sedí
na přejezd se silnicí III třídy, ale chybná je GPS souřadnice. Zdrojem
problémů je tak XLS tabulka přejezdů od SŽDC, kterou občas posílají
mailem a kterou pravděpodobně HZS zpracovává strojově a neřeší rozpory
dokud je na ně někdo neupozorní.

Me to tedy nejde na mozek, jak muze vubec podobna vec vzniknout, tak 
nejak bych (naivne) ocekaval, ze kdyz uz nic jineho, tak jsou alespon 
deklarovany meze.


Nehlede na to, ze na tohle se da prijit i jen hloupym serazenim v excelu.

[OSM-talk] south Portugal and South Spain GPS

My husband and I (Both older) want to buy a GPS so we don't get too lost
when walking and driving on our trip in February.  I have been looking on
Amazon.ca but all the GPS have N. Amer. maps.  If I buy one can I put an
English language Portugal/Spain map in it?  ( which is best brand  for not
too much money and not too difficult to input destinations?)  We have a
2008 Honda Accord  with a built in GPS and know how to use it.  We have a
very old  portable Nextus GPS that we use in rental cars in Canada but
don't think it could be used.


We don't have smart phones ( nor smart brains anymore) so can't use an app.

Suggestions would be appreciated.

Quello di Martin mi sembra un ottimo modello, molto chiaro e completo,
su come impostare una mail di benvenuto e offerta di aiuto a chi
comincia.
Anche io a volte lo faccio, ma come giustamente dice Martin la cosa è
un po' onerosa :(
Quello che manca (almeno io non ne ho conoscenza) per i nuovi iscritti
è qualche bel video-tutorial in italiano su JOSM, dove far vedere
praticamente come operare.
Questo perchè anche io suggerisco di usare JOSM, ma spesso i nuovi
utenti ne sono un po' spaventati.

Právě jsem objevil

Plus tam bývají zajímavé fotky i u jiných uživatelů.
Jedna věc je že dle mého názoru to můžeme používat stejně jako old.o.c, 
tj. ty obrazky číst a přepisovat do mapy.
Druhá věc je, že bychom mohli poprosit seznam.cz zda by nám ty fotky 
dali a mohli bychom je naimportovat do old.o.cz - licenční podmínky 
foto.mapy.cz to dovolují, stačí souhlas Seznamu.

Pokud nebudete proti, tak jim klidně napíšu.
